Store name not showing up in search

Hi,

When someone does a search for my store (Art Objects or ArtObjects or Art-Objects or Art.Objects), nothing comes up.

Then, although my store is domiciled in the US, when an "advanced search" is used for "Stores" under Art Objects, the search comes up on the French site.

I think it would be helpful for my store to show up when doing a regular search under "store" and on the US site as well.

Can you explain what's going on? Can something be done about getting my store to come up with a regular search? Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.

Not sure....but you do need to take off the link to your other selling site from your about me page.....not allowed.

Do read the FAQ's on listing and selling, etc, found by clicking the help button at the top right of any page.

Your items will show up to whatever countries you sell to. Other than that, I don't quite get what you mean. But I haven't had my coffee yet.......

I will follow your suggestions.... What I mean is that, when one does a search in Stores, my Store Art Objects (entered various as follows-- Art Objects or ArtObjects or Art-Objects or Art.Objects), nothing comes up.

Someone will know more than I do. Hard to believe, but it has happened!! Glad you are here! I used to live in Washington IA!

Although I spend quite a bit of time in Europe, I love being in IA -- don't know Washington IA very well-, but the people of IA are very nice. Thanks!

I believe you should remove instructions on your auctions to check you out on ecrater. We are promoting sales here, not on other sites....thanks! It helps us all.

Something you could try (as you made mention of the French site earlier):

• Go to any one of your listings.
• Scroll down to the Shipping Details area.
• Ensure Calculate Shipping to: is set to the US (if not set it to the US and click the Calculate button).

This has not been my day, anyway!

First, my Store is not showing up in Searches.
Then, I got reprimanded because, unbeknownst to me, I had a link to my other website in my description ( which I have since deleted). Now all the auctions that had taken many days to list have disappeared!
Lastly (I hope) a customer who had been bidding on one of my items was not able to use the Google check out and now, the sale has not gone through. Same customer had also made an offer on another item.
What to do now?.....

Maybe you could contact support and see if they would reinstate the auctions, and find out why they were taken off. Maybe it could be fixed.

I don't know how long it takes for stores to show up on searches. I'd think pretty quickly, so am still not clear on the problem with the search. I'm guessing most people do searches by the item they are looking for....or go to the stores tab and then look in the topic they want. Not everyone uses stores, so a lot of items don't show in stores.

Personally, I tried using google checkout once....and about tore my hair out. It was much more convoluted than paypal.....so I just avoid it.

Well I can (or at least I could before it was taken down for rule infringement), so don't see why you couldn't. Maybe one of your fellow US sellers could try the links in #6 and report what they see when you get started again?

What exactly were you typing into the store search entry field?

As Her Maj says, contact support regarding the reinstatement of your listings and then fix them quick time before they get picked up again.

Your username shows up in search but your store does not because you don't have a store.
If you did have a store and it is empty, it will not show up in search.
If you had items in your store but forgot to place your store 'online' then it will not show up in search.
