Default Closing account is so difficult!

    Hi.

after a few eyars on here I am now leaving as despite having 500 items for sale on an average day, I have sold none this year yet elsewhere on a similar site I sell an average of 600 a month so it is not beneficial to use my time updating on here. I am a lifetime member but it really is not worth it anymore.

Good luck to those who do and wish me well trying to find out how to close your account as it is so difficult to find a way of doing it.

I suppose it helps if you can read.

good morning shops , sorry you feel you have to leave , but it is really up to you , you know what is best for you...if you are a life time member why not leave a few things on eBid , just for an interest and just incase ? but again this is up to you...best of luck what ever you decide.......papa.

Thanks Mel, your attitude shows why this place is not inviting to new people.

Papa, I sell so many things online Ebid is not for me. I know it works for some as I have seen the results but I am a bit more random than most I guess and juts think I don't have the time to do it.

Ebid is great and the forums have some nice people who I have spoken to a lot but also some compete ******* who think they are above people and they need to be monitored to stop new people being made to feel daft and unwanted which I have seen happen so often.

Good luck Ebid sellers, sell loads.

So why do other people sell stuff on ebid and you can't ?

That is the question you should have been asking.

Sorry to hear you are going. I would just close your listings, if that is what you want to do, but I wouldn't close your account altogether if you have paid for lifetime membership. I joined here in 2005 but I didn't really start selling here until 2008 so I was pleased that I kept my account open. You never know what might happen in the future and might want to come back.

Lol, I think Mel might have been refering to the fact that this thread has been put in the 'Any praise most welcome' forum !

Thanks for the helpful comments and julies.

I have not got the time anymore so there is no point keeping an account. I am not knocking ebid and have sent them a contact to close my account.
Ebid is a bit more specialist and hands on in my opinion and is good for thosew itht he time and the right products, of which I am neither of those.

My company turns over about £5000 a week and when I started i turned over £500 so it does not really figure in my future.

    Cheers though.

Ni, I was referring to the fact the procedure for closing an account is not hard to find - as long as you are able to read. Which, I assume, any seller must be able to do. Maybe a popup every 10 seconds of using the site asking 'Do you want to close your account? Y/N' would work better.

Mel, get a job in customer relations. You're a natural.
