Bulk edit playing silly devils

I've just had this happen - the bucket was suddenly empty. Couldn't record - it says java is not enabled (but it is!).

It seems to happen when I try to add to the bucket by using a second search.

Now this is creepy! I searched for items with the postage cost 50p - 17 listings returned. added to bucket, edited.. next screen says the bucket 92209 is empty.

I repeat the process - exactly the same - now 92210 has 17 listings in it. I do appreciate that this is the worst sort of bug to hunt but it is wasting an unreasonable amount of my time!

And again... 92217. I don't see what the recording woudl show - the bucket is just empty after clicking "submit changes for review"

and, while you are in that bit of code the box for the value on the bulk edit search page is labelled "international postage" when it is the domestic postage area.

I think they're still trying to track down the bug Madelaine.
I sent them the link to another recording of it going wrong this time I was using the sale option,
I also sent them a link to the same edit going right.

Both times I only did one search for the items to add to bucket.
I don't think it is anything to do with what we are doing our end.

No, I've now has identical processes work on doing them a second time.

I used to be a programmer and intermittent bugs are theoretically impossible. It's code; the same input should result in the same output every time!

Not true. Think race conditions. Think code that depends on state, as well as input.
