TBH - I thought it would work like a Best Offer where by Offers below a certain price would automatically get rejected. I see no Input field for this, so I guess this way of Automatic Accepting/Declining isn't so?

I looked for a field but didn't see one.

I was sent an email telling me someone had made an offer and when I checked the offer had been automatically declined...so I have no idea what's going on.

Hi there ...I was very happy with your offer but for some reason it was automatically declined without me doing anything.

I'll go off and check the listing and see if I missed something out.

I have sent a message to support and will update here when I find out what is going on

Bit odd that. As a seller, are we supposed to put in the min. accepted value instead of the BIN? - which would answer why the offer was declined if it's referring to the BIN value in the existing field. But then again, I can't see an additional field for where the real BIN would go instead...

I don't think it will work for everyone in every instance, but a lot of people seem to have a use for it. I put my prices where I want them, and don't use reserves, either.........I don't like reserves. To each his/her own. At least this gives people more options, and if it makes some seller happier, and doesn't hurt anyone, so much the better. It's an option you have to select to offer when you do your listing.....it's not automatic.

Agree HM, especially as regards reserve listings. Also like that it's an optional option.

I don't think I am impressed because it seems if you use the best offer you are losing the auction part of the listings. I have tried it with one and may put it on a couple more just to see how it works.

You can't possibly have "best offer" and "auction" on the same listing, it would make no sense. In an auction you bid up from the minimum, in best offer you effectively "bid" down from a fixed price. The two cannot meet.
