What are your thoughts on investing in Silver and Gold Coins?

I thought it was interesting to see a decent supply on eBid of pre-1965 US half dollars, quarters, and dimes which are 90% silver. It seems with the price of silver and or gold having a strong upside potential this year, now would be a good time to invest in some. Is anybody else buying these or other silver/gold coins?

In my opinion, silver and gold is always great to buy. Silver is a little better right now in my eyes, but gold could skyrocket at any time. Over the years, these investments have proven to be worthy.
Buying 90% silver coins is a good way to invest in precious metals with slightly less risk. Many times, Morgans, Mercury Dimes, Barbers, ect... are backed by their collectible value as well, thus protecting the investor somewhat from potential losses.
