aargh! mega fees this month

because I have sold 13 items in march

my stuff is rather specialized so I dont expect to sell it often and its not penny items.
april has started off with 2 sales this morning so it seems things are getting better ( and I would rather sell here than there even without the current increase in fees at the place that shall not be named ).


good work people, I intend to add more listings soon and hope sales keep increasing

I will have record fees for March as well, but it will still be less than I was paying in listing and store fees on eBay. On eBid I will gladly pay record fees every month. The more of us who can sell and pay fees, the better for the long term future of the site. You just know on here that the extra will be spent for the benefit of eBid, and with luck we will be paying enough to increase the advertising budget.

2026 listings, next stop 2500. 4 stores open with number 5 coming shortly.

I hope my fees here get to be more than there coz that will mean 5 times the sales here and then some.
( I put a few items there to send people here with, eg listing 2 of a range of 4 items there and telling people to contact me for the others, then I tell them about how the 2 items they have already seen are cheaper here and the other items are here too )

Just had a quick look at some of your items. You should do really well on here, your descriptions are excellent, and as you sell specialised stuff, there is a good chance that people will google if they want that type of thing. Just had a quick google to see how your stuff shows, it was top of the list. Over 90% of my sales come from google, so despite what people say about no buyers, for people like you they will find you even if they have never heard of eBid.

I am glad to see the site does work for some. Without looking I couldn't tell you when I last sold anything on here to generate a fee. But well done to you and hopefully more sales to come.

Put yourself in the place of a buyer.Unless you were looking for a specific model,presumably you'd do a search for diecast models.Of the 234 listings that show under that search,not one of them is yours.It's been pointed out on other threads that your listing title needs keywords that most people would be searching for.Simply adding those two words would include your listings in that search.
Not guaranteeing that you'll get a sale but at least your items will be seen.

Of course,offering them cheaper on your own website (albeit a penny!) doesn't give anyone an incentive to buy from you here either!

Thanks for your comment. I did try the 'diecast model' in my titles last year, it didn't make a great deal of difference, but having said that it wasn't on them all because I kept running out of space. I will try again seeing as the title space has been extended.
