Thumbs down opportunity to leave feedback is no longer there

    Hi All
I am hoping that someone can shed light on this for me. Someone took out a paypal dispute on me for non receipt of product. Now I cannot be sure that the package was recieved however I have provided proof of postage, numerous emails to buyer that were ignored for the period of about 4 weeks.

He lied to paypal indicating I had ignored 4 emails - I didnt receive one.

Conseequently I wanted to hold off on posting feedback. Paypal have now found in his favour and I am left £25 out of pocket while he has more than likely got something rather nice for free.

I want to leave some relevant feedback for other sellers. The opportunity to leave this feedback seems to have dissapeared.

If anyone can help that would be great.

    I am a little peeved!
    Ben

    Hi Ben

Sorry to hear about your experience. I am a relatively new seller on ebid and used to sell on ebay in the past.
After reading many horror stories relating to EBay sellers conned by crooked buyers from mostly overseas, I no longer use PayPal.
EBay force you to use PayPal but not so with EBid.

Not too sure about the buyer feedback, but it might be worthwhile contacting ebid directly.

    Regards
    Bob

With proof of posting, don't forget to put in a claim with Royal Mail. You never know, you may get your money back

Agree with Meebo, do try to get your money back if you can.

You can change feedback on eBid at any time, just go into feedback already left and change it to reflect your experience. If the fb has well and truly disappeared, you may want to contact support: support@ebid.net with the details, they should be able to help you with this. Don't forget to add the buyer to your blackball list so they can't buy from you again, if you haven't already done so.

Sorry you had this experience, hope things pick up soon.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

    Hi Guys
thanks very much for your responses. The post master did say to me that I can make a claim with the receipt I have which is a good thing.

But its the principal - i feel this buyer needs a warning - it appears he has dissapeared from the site. I will chase it up with support.

Bob as you can see although I am on here more than a year my feedback is limited - I also used to sell on ebay until it became too difficult. However one thing to note is that I only orignally offered pppay as a way to checkout. I now also offer paypal again and most of my buyers seem to be using this................!!

It seems you are caught between a rock and a hard place........
does anyone have any other exp of using other payment platforms?

    Ben

I like Google checkout, although the fees are similar to PayPal's the money goes straight into your bank account. My experiences with PPPay weren't good so I've stopped using it.

Definately reclaim from Post Office. Firstly, you will get your money back, got a cheque from them today. Secondly, if it is a dodgy buyer and there are several claims, the Post Office could investigate further to see if the claims are false, after all, it is them who are losing the money.

You can also make a counter claim on Paypal. I have done this once when on eBay. As with you, no contact then a claim for non delivery several weeks later. Once again, it puts dodgy buyers on the radar and can lead to them losing their Paypal account. By the way, I won that case and Paypal reclaimed from their account and refunded me.

    Hi Ben

Paypal will always find in the buyers favour unless you used a 'signed for' service.

You will get compensated from RM so definitely claim.

You may also want to 'blackball' the buyer just in case they were to buy from you again............you never know
