I've discovered that when I browse one of eBid's categories, I cannot sort by title. This is not a good thing for collectibles, where buyers may want to look at all the items made in, for example, a specific year. I've noticed that many collectibles have the year at the beginning of the title, probably for that reason.
One example: Dolls & Bears/Beanies & Beanbag/Beanie Babies/Retired
I sorted by "Auction Title Low > HIgh"
Here's an example of the sequence that came up:
1997 HOLIDAY TEDDY The Bear - TY Beanie Babies - MINT
1997 HOLIDAY CHRISTMAS TEDDY TY Beanie Baby DECEMBER 25
1997 Ty Jingle Beanies 1997 Holiday Teddy with Stitched Nose WT
1997 Ty Beanie Babies Stretch WT
1997 Ty Beanie Babies Bruno WT
It's sorting by only the first 8 characters.
I tried this in some other categories and the same thing happens.
I realize the search works if a buyer is looking for a specific item, but I think many collectors, including me, like to browse. This makes it difficult to compare identical items from different sellers if I find something that interests me.
