What is the deal with reviews of Ebid "out there"

I did my homework and found (to the best of my knowledge) that Ebid looked like a good bet.

I am so shocked when I see reviews from so many that give a 1 star for Ebid and the reviewers are reacting with so much anger...much of the "explanations" seem vague but very self righteous.

Tell me... what gives? Are these people employed by Ebay trying to "sully" Ebid's reputation as Ebid seems a threat?

Am I being naive? Any ideas or input?

No clue where you looked................I suppose there could be a variety of reasons for different reviews.....

It only takes a couple of really anti people to make a few posts about a site to plant a seed of doubt.

And the reverse is true, one only has to look at the wildly swinging Ina Steiner surveys.

All a person can do is read many reviews and then a few forums and form their own gut feeling.

I think you will find that ebid is well run, has fair rules and fees.
But of course it does not have the traffic that ebay has (but who does ?)

Agree with the above, there are always happy and not so happy folks wherever you go, the trick is to hang with the happy ones.

I checked other sites before joining here, though what clinched it for me was the friendly and helpful folks in the forum, (special thanks to Juliebabe who convinced me eBid was worth it - and she was right, it is).

Some people don't handle failure well, and can't believe it can be down to any short-comings in their usage of a site, so if they don't make sales by sitting doing nothing it must be a rubbish site - couldn't be that they've failed to use the site effectively or make the most of the opportunity given. That being the case they then feel a need to be all aggressive and shouty about it, it's how a lot of people cope with incompetence or inadequacy I'm afraid. Don't worry about it, just give it a real try and judge for yourself.

Well… to check out if this true or not for each one writings and review and what is on it exactly, person need to have example likes ‘’format’’ questioning and example: This person see this or that and write about that, in the end is very easy to see is this true or not after someone see questionings and look in here just to see real truth and if this person who write around for eBid reviews if he or she writing the truth or not…

And by the way ‘’Jan’’ what you going to say for ‘’Scottish’’ reply for about ‘’reverse’’ situation…...
