I'm partial to corn dogs myself, smothered in mustard. They are hot dogs encased in a cornmeal batter and deep fried. If something is bad for you, I love it.

Yes, Tony I do like Jim Reeves.

Unfortunately, this was a favorite of my ex so it comes with a few bitter sweet memories and does Webb Pierce, one of the concerts we went to back in the day. An well, that's life. I guess I could say I learned a lot from that relationship.

Actually, this particular region of the states is known as High Plains and we are very close to desert conditions - dry, dry, dry. Fires are a fact of life here. We don't like them, we try to put them out, but when it's hot and dry like it is now, they happen. It was a nice wet Spring with all the snow, but then the wind blew and it dries it out very quickly. Danny said we will most likely cut wheat early again this year. Last year I think we cut it just about now. I don't know when they plan to cut this year. Loretta said yesterday it was just shriveling up, but she's a bit of an alarmist. I guess I should go and look at it. It always tugs on my heart strings (amber waves of grain and all that) when I do and I love to watch the big behemoth machines cutting it (especially if they are green).

Wyo, you conjure up a wonderful picture in my mind. I can almost see those amber waves of wheat, and giant cutters.

My ex loved Gentleman Jim songs too, he played the LP over and over. Everytime I hear one of his songs, it reminds me of him (ugh!)

Very windy again, sun popped out earlier, but it's gone dark and dismal again .... sigh.
    I feel depressed already

Fun and games with the animation team. This was JR in the 'make a paper aeroplane and fly it' game.
Whoever launched them the furthest won a cocktail (as we were all inclusive they were free anyway lol!)
We didn't win, but an Irish couple who we made good friends with, the husband won.
