Hi guys!
Well, this morning it was beautiful and sunny, so I put my shorts on.
I hate wearing trousers, leggings etc.
As the day progressed the rain came, the skies darkened and the winds reared their ugly heads again. Doh!
We have been promised a taste of summer tomorrow though, so I'm sticking with the shorts!
(Of all kinds ...lol!!!)
JR is feeding his face with home-made curry now.
I fancy a Chinese, I can cook a good curry but am hopeless at Chinese cooking - our local Chinese restaurant is very, very good.

Our snowstorm sure put my week off kilter. I had to go get my tax return this morning and I went to the bowling alley while I was at it. My back hurts a bit now.
One of the girls that own the house next door passed away last week. She lived in Pinedale, Wy. Across the state from here. Her family owns a plot in our cemetary, so she wanted to be buried here with mom and Dad. The funeral home in Pinedale wanted $1,000 to bring her here in a hearse plus another 1,000 for the equipment to bury her - the thing that lowers the casket into the grave, etc. So, her son rented a U-haul ($175) and the guys rigged up some ropes for lowering the casket. The son called the Uhaul a redneck hearse. I'm giving them brownie points for taking it all on! I think it's interesting to see how people are getting around some of the outrageous charges surrounding illness and death nowdays. Of course, if everyone does this, you'll no longer be able to get a hearse when you need one. Supposed to get up to an inch of snow tonight and they have another storm predicted for Monday and Tuesday.
I YDC, Do you?
Ouch, hope the weather isn't too bad. Stay safe and warm.
IMHO it's outrageous what funeral homes charge grieving people, bloodsuckers literally. Planning on being cremated myself and the ashes scattered in the river so hopefully not too much expense, (I told my sister they can toss the whole body in if it comes to that, might be good food for the fish).
Cheers,
Great story, WYO - I love Western ingenuity and practicality. I also agree that Subarus are the best cars for bad weather....had two during the last 10 years I lived in CO/WA, and they made it through many blizzards in the mts of CO and plains of WY. Sure-footed cars.
FL is a lovely place, esp in the winter. It's humid, like the UK, but so much warmer!! mmmmmm that sounds so good right now.
Time for a hot cuppa..............coffee pot's on....help yourselves!
Ta-Ta for now!

Hi everyone.
No snowstorms here either!
I have my shorts on again, patiently awaiting this 'heatwave' that is supposed to be arriving today.
It's definitely warmer, but still overcast - I was expecting wall to wall sunshine!
Agree with the others Wyo - a great story, and as cheaver says - highly commendable - top marks to the son's ingenuity!
I think I remember the June when it snowed here cheaver - was it mid seventies?
Now - if there is any coffee left I shall help myself to a mug, and wander over to cheavers greenhouse ......
purely to inspect her tomato seedlings! Lol!!!
