If you get snow I shall be green with envy. I love to see it. I know it's hassle but it is so pretty!

I agree, it is lovely in small amounts, driving in larger amounts takes some doing though.

Gesso is a white or black liquid used to prepare a canvas for painting, I believe it is the same for oil or acrylic paint, but I don't know for sure. It is possible to stretch your own canvas over a frame which I do most of the time. The gesso shrinks up the fabric and gives you a tight fit as well as giving you a white background to start out with. I have not used the black gesso but it would be a very nice thing if you planned a picture with a dark background - like night or jungle. Anyway gesso will also cover any previous painting on a canvas. Glad to be helpful.
