Amaretto for Ms. Penguin and a picture of Quentin eating his pancakes!
2 more jobsites to visit after 2:00 so I can't drink yet!!!
Quentin is a cutie, I have no idea where he gets it from!
Not sure about a corner full of Horse Muck in the yard, Bonzo would have a party rolling around in it and eating it.
I used to compost before I moved into this place. Always had 2 piles going (this years and next years) got to be a pain you know where and the critters it attracted was incredible. Bonzo would bark non stop day and night chasing the critters.
Compost soil I have always had good luck with and I know it's the thing to do I just don't want to do it anymore. I'm looking for easier gardening as I get older. I enjoy putzing around the gardens but we have too many to take the time to take care of them as we should. That's why we are going for heartier perennials when we plant anything new.
When I did have the Rio Sambas they weren't hard to take care of, just fertilize, water, feed and bury a banana peel around them occasionaly. They did quite well until I stopped taking any care of them. Same thing with the yard and other gardens. When the pool and deck was down and being rebuilt for that length of time I didn't take care of any of it so now we have to rebuild from step 1
Well that pool and deck certainly look inviting Al . . . Bonzo's got the right idea - enjoy!
Love the roses Al, (but I REALLY liked the gargoyle/grotesque) and Quentin is gorgeous! Obviously serious work eating pancakes
You deserve a very large drink after all the hard work you've put in to the YDC, pour me a G&T with ice & a slice please cheaver
Al thats a great picture of Quentin, he sure does look like one real little character, bet he's entertaining you already!
I have to say I know what youre saying about making life easier but Ms Penguin our wise bird here, really does know what she is talking about on this, and that last post, well all of that is spot on, I can vouch for it cos Ive used exactly the same when I DID have my garden. You diont have to go too mad but those things she has said, well you know she really IS right, they work brilliantly to enhance the growth and blooms!
Sue how are you doing? hope those kitties of yours are not playing up too much
Well gotta go folks have to be up early tomorrow. Goodnight and God bless xx
G'night Sal and all across the pond! Sorry nutty I'm afraid I'll have to catch you tomorrow with your cocktail.
good morning! Just popping in with coffee, in case the cocktail hour extended a bit much and you feel the effect this morning. It is only just getting light. Quite depressing, as that points to autumn. Lots to do today, just not sure where to start
