LOL! Thanks Trish and everyone, it's amazing how good news lifts the spirits, along with a large Irish or two.
In case anyone's interested, Hallmark Channel is doing a 'Frasier' marathon today, one of my favorite sit coms.
Cheers,
Sounds great! I've been to Canada.........several places, and it's a wonderful and beautiful country. Never have been to France. I live in hope. Not sure where Marbella is.....Spain? Sounds like 'beautiful sea.' Wherever, I hope it's fun, and that you enjoy meeting the family!

Eldest son lives in Vancouver [he's almost a legal Canadian by now] and we visited in 2007. Last summer he married a Canadian girl from Prince Edward Island, so we went over for the wedding - fantastic 2 weeks as we took in Nova Scotia as well. If they [Canadian authorties] would have us, we would go to retire there, but not enough assets/savings Hoping to go back to Vancouver next year for OH's 60th.
Try to go to France at least once a year, but plans have gone severely haywire these last few years.
How wonderful Annie, your son living in Vancouver, although it must be dreadfully sad for you having your son live so far away.
I have seen very little of France, wished I was rich enough to explore this wonderful planet Earth more ...
Must keep doing the Lottery!
My dream place to visit would be Hawaii - then I could collect Plumeria cuttings and seeds!
Oh wow, I feel like a complete rube, I've only ever been to Canada (Ontario) and the UK once in 2000; of course $ has always been a bit of an issue. If I ever win the lottery I'm not sure where I'll go first, so many places, of course the UK would be near the top of the list as well as France and Ireland; I've always wanted to visit Dublin where my ancestors came from a long time ago.
Cheers,
We have had a couple of days with rain in them this weekend. CO got it first, but I haven't heard any news to tell you the results. I'm sure everyone ran out to get rusty as it has been so hot and dry here. I should be outside pulling up some pesky grass in my driveway, maybe tomorrow. I'll probably have to get out the lawn mowers now.
I YDC, Do you?
Good to hear from you Wyo.
I always worry about our pals over the pond with dire weather conditions, so I am glad that you are Okey-dokey, and have had a spot of rain!
Cheaver, my sisters went to Dublin and said the same thing - extremely expensive.
What did you do to improve the drainage in your garden? Poke some huge holes in the ground?
Our soil is sandy, so whatever rain we get disappears real fast.
We had a few thunder showers earlier, but it turned out to be a lovely, sunny and warm afternoon.
Oh boy - that choccy fudge cake sounds good! Did you make it?
So pleased that you got hugs from the boys, bless them xxx
I'm off to bed now, so I will wish all you guys a very good evening, and will meet up with you tomorrow for coffee and donuts! Yum!!!!
Sweet dreams y'all xxx
Did somebody say chocolate????
