    YOO-hoo..... I'm back!
Well, as you can imagine, I have been very busy making melts. Seems like everyone wants Christmassy smelling melts so I have been working very long hours to keep up with orders. Sadly, not much from here :-(
I have got writers cramp tonight as I have been trying to get my Christmas cards all written up and sent out.
What an enormous family I have, so many kids (5) - grandkids (21) great grandkids (8 or 9, I have lost count!) - siblings (4) - plus friends and acquaintances both past and present.
    .
Thanks for the choons books, not actually heard a few of them before.

As Christmas is almost here, I would like to add my three favourite Christmas choons. They are ...

and the one that now makes me cry .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9jbdgZidu8

It would be lovely to hear your favourite Christmas music too, so please feel free to post so that we can all enjoy!

Hi Trish well you have done better than me for writing Christmas cards I have mine yet to do, may sit and write them tonight once I have logged out, been very busy over the past few weeks, my house is on the market, been busy attending upholstery and patchwork classes so have been keeping pretty busy however hands are complaining and I have been so tired just lately been told by friends etc I need to slow down, problem is the brain says '30 something' the body says 'who are you trying to kid' and DVLA rubbed salt into the wounds by letting me know I need to renew my driving license due to turning 70 next year.

I am not a great fan of Christmas since my Mum passed in December some years ago but lets not forget those less fortunate than ourselves who are homeless, struggling with the cost of living or suffering sudden bereavement, now I find myself worrying over people I don't even know.

Liked your tunes, read that it was between Mariah Carey, Wham and the Pogues for No 1 this Christmas and I want the Pogues, always a favourite

Here I have listed some of my favourite Christmas songs performed by an assortment of singers. Could not decide which ones to list so decided I would put them all down the first 3 are top of my list. Could have added Little Donkey and In the Bleak Midwinter but thought enough is enough, My favourite Jonah Lewie in at no 1.

    Oh Maria,
What absolutely beautiful choices - I'm almost reduced to tears with the Street Haleujah and the Holy Night duet. Got goosebumps all over!
The Little Drummer Boy was one of the very first pieces of music that I learnt to play when I went to piano lessons when I was a child, thanks so much for sharing these wonderful choons!

How wonderful that you are learning new skills, well done you! Yes, I also am forever getting told off by my family that I need to cut down on my workload with making and selling the melts. I get so very tired and am suffering with chronic back pains (amongst other things like IBS, and gasping for breath with the worsening bronchiectasis).
I haven't felt well since the last bout of covid. I get so stressed out if I get behind with my orders, and have worked way too hard and too many hours a day to keep up since I'm a one man band! Hopefully, after Christmas all will calm down and I will be able to enjoy more time with my family.

I do hope that you will manage to sell your house - have you found somewhere else to live yet? What a stressful time for you, I just could not face moving house - far too much stuff everywhere including a garage full to the top with all the kids stuff from their previous homes when their relationships broke up. Then plus boxes of our stuff that has been stored away - there is even a huge pottery kiln in there from my pottery-making days ...lol!

Anyone want to buy a large kiln? Haa-haa!!

    Hi Booksntings,
Don't post on this thread, but saw your message and just had to wish you, and your family, a lovely Christmas and best wishes for the New Year!
    All the best,

Oh books, I wondered where you had gone!
Crikey, how scary for you suffering a heart attack.
So pleased that you are now back at home, and I do so agree with you about the wonderful care that Nottingham hospital provides.
My daughter Teagan had a very traumatic time when in labour with her first baby - after many attempts to save her and baby all ended well so I am forever grateful to the staff.
Thank you for the choons ... all very good!

Hi Marie, always lovely to hear from a visitor to the lounge. Doesn't matter if you don't wish to partake of a cocktail or submit a choon, everyone is welcome here to have a chat!

Well, keep safe everyone as I do believe that we are in for some very rough windy weather ....

    Blimey Books!

Glad you decided to drop by and play tunes instead of snoozing your life away.

Life is for living and we need to get on with doing the things that we love to do.

By all means, rest when you need to...but make sure you get to do some fun stuff along the way

Probably not a good idea to run any marothons for a week or two though
