House feels very empty - we usually wait until 12th night to take the decs down, but as we were the only ones in our street with Christmas lights flashing on the tree and in the windows we decided that they had to go for another year!
The wreath on the front door has also been binned .... sad ....

We must all look forward to the new year, it's cold, dark and dismal right now but hey! Spring is just around the corner ... hurrah!

Our gardens (front & back ) look like a neglected cemetary, but I see all the spring flowers are sending up their new green shoots. Soon we will have a wonderful display of snowdrops, daffodils, tulips, hyacinth, crocus, muscari, and all the other flowers too numerous to mention.

We lost more panels from the greenhouse during the last stormy weather and ole JR has not been able to replace them yet so greenhouse plants have suffered. Our lemon tree, jasmine, and Chinese fan palm don't look well after the severe frosts we have had and also my sago palm (grown from a seed brought back from Florida 30 years ago) looks as though it has 'passed' .....

I have had a break from selling during the festive season, but now back in action with multiple sales today on t'other side. Surpised really, as I thought that everyone would be skint after the expense of Christmas.

Now, as I suffer with the awful SAD depression (Seasonal Affective Disorder) I'm going to cheer us all up with a couple of summer choons! It will not be too long before we will see those glorious sunny days again, so here y'a go!

Ermahgerd- I love wine, but can't drink it as it gives me migraines! Mulled is good - looks like a really nice recipe! Best wine I ever had was a Blackberry from Washington State.. Not a sickly sweet wine, just like drinking realllllllllllllllly good blackberry juice! mmm. Hope you all - we all - have a marvelous NEW YEAR! Off to a slow start, as usual tho.

Methinks I will have to root out my Hawaiian hula grass skirt, plumeria headband and Lei from my fancy dress wardrobe.
I have always wanted to visit Hawaii and O'ahu , sadly I don't think that wish will ever come true. Both JR and I are both too long in the tooth now, but .... never say never!

Very cold here in East Anglia, lots of freezing ice and fog but sadly no snow at all! I do like to see the snowflakes falling but we seldom get any here.
