It is colder than a witches heart here. Wind chill of 30 below Advisory on Thursday night, 35 below on Friday, and Winter Storm Warning for this weekend. Lots of snow and more coming with wind. Predicted for the I-80 corridor, and I am south of that, so who knows. Been working on taxes and getting my Mini Mac set up and learning how to do things.

I went out Thursday night and brought in the feral cat (Mr, Spots) that I've been feeding and Miss Roosevelt plays with. He has appropriated Sadie's big bed and yesterday he had to be removed from my lap, which Sadie accomplished without harm to anyone. So far he's been pretty well behaved So I may have to take him for shots when the weather clears up.

I am very grateful to my friend Rico for his assistance with this whole computer situation. He is saving me a great deal of heartache or frustration and a little money too. I have a wireless keyboard which is just lovely. Easier to depress the keys and I can put it on my lap if I chose. Because it's a mini, I have more desk space after some clearing away. Anybody want any "Dummy" books from 1999 and 2000? Maybe I will try and donate to the Bookmobile. I think I was told they didn't want reference books and these are surely outdated, but I can't throw out a book. My dad's influence I imagine.

If I ignore the media and Facebook things are pretty normal, but if I look they are weird. Don't quite know what to think of the political situation and why in the world would anyone pick on the "My Pillow" guy? I've decided there are some really messed up people out there, although I have no idea who they are. Well, I have to get back to sorting my taxes and refereeing the dog and cat fights. (Actually they aren't really fights, just some jostling and herding).

Well, finally our snow has gone today. It lasted a whole week - unheard of here in East Suffolk.
I'm glad really, cos at least now I cannot see the multitudinous tracks of cats footprints visiting my gardens to do their business ....enrages me .... sure wish I had my doggies back ...

The ice has melted too, so it's safe to walk outdoors. The roads and pavements have been treacherous.

Hope that your weather doesn't freeze you too much Wyo - crikey - those wind chills are unbearable.

I have made a big pan of lobby (beef stew) and have some to spare, also hot crusty bread to dip in! Just the job to warm you up on these horrible cold and dark days.
On a brighter note, the spring bulbs have been fighting their way through the snow and ice and I'm delighted to see them ... won't be long now 'till spring ... yayyy ..
