Lovely little message from the grandchildren, Pos.
I have seen my grandchildren playing in the sun with water slide and bouncy castle in the garden (Abigail and Robbie) , and a vid of Isla and Ava having a fun Easter Egg hunt last weekend, as their mum is having them over Easter. Debbie has sent me loads of pics of my grandchildren and great grandchildren, and I spoke to my daughter Tracey and grandchildren In Cornwall yesterday. I sure miss them all and hope for a happy family reunion when all the Coronavirus pandemic is well and truly over.
Lol books! Where on earth did you get that choon from?
I remember Bernard Bresslaw in the army game!
Hope all went well for you with the nurse practitioner today Wyo, keep safe dear pal x
Your Maj, we are so honoured that you called into the lounge, I do hope that you and Philpot are keeping well.
Penni, your house looks like it's in a very nice neighbourhood, and easier for you to be with your loved ones.
Keep on keeping safe y'all,
I haven't got a choon ..... oh, maybe I do.
I just cannot sleep at night (or day) but this I recommend for anyone in the same boat .....

Glad you liked the Bernard Bresslaw song Trish, it was the B side to this wonderful
song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MwnFCpbURs
The upside to all this staying in is that we can discover even more great music. By now most of the regulars in the cocktail lounge will know I'm a mad fan of folk music. Here are a few new artists i've recently found.
The Whistlin' Donkeys what a great band name!
Celtic Thunder
The Devil makes three
Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band
The Cleverlys Country Swing with a difference
The Cleverlys
Will finish with one from John Prine who we sadly lost this week, one of his finest songs sung here with Nanci Griffith

HURRAH!
We got more folk out tonight showing appreciation for our NHS and all the key workers that are keeping us all going in these awful, traumatic times.
(Guess who made the most racket?!!!)
More great choons books, so loved Raise a Little Hell, you know what I'm like for drums!
Celtic Thunder made me shed a tear for my dear grandad, he and my nanna looked after me for a while when my dad was in Korea and mum was in the land army.
We had a close bond, and as I grew older he used to tell me of all the horrors of being a coal face worker in the mines.
Some of the coal faces he worked in were so narrow that if you crawled up there with your shovel the wrong way up, there wasn't enough space to turn it over. You had to go back along the tunnel.
My ex-husband was also a coal face miner and he eventually died with pneumoconiosis.
Sweet Sixteen was so beautiful, what a pretty girl.
JR came in to listen to my music when he heard The Cleverlys playing She Ain't There. We both thought it was brill, and wished that we could have been right there in that room to enjoy the music (and food & beer!)
Here are a few selections from me ....

Checking in again. I had a telephone conference with the nurse practitioner yesterday and have 3 more months of Advair hopefully by then the clinic in Pine will be open again. There is a lot of talk here that COVID-19 is not as represented so I am really glad I have a few contacts across the pond. There was a Montana Dr. on Facebook today talking about death certificates and our count could be way high because of the way we do them here. I would move to Canada if it wasn't so darn cold there.
I made a couple of face masks and gave them to my neighbor (Buddy's Mom) and she took them to work. She asked if I was interested in making them and I said I didn't know. Her employer would pay me, but I saw the memo and they are thinking you could make 5 in an hour and I think that's pushing it a bit. I ironed this morning and I pulled a worn pair of jeans out. Some teenager would probably be thrilled with them, or not no rips. They are predicting snow for Easter. Why break tradition anyway?
I have had a couple of orders this month. I was not expecting any, but I sold some yarn and some disk gaskets (JD). I also unloaded the dishwasher and put the newly dirty dishes in. Not bad for an old retired lady. Also ironed 4 pair jeans and a pillow case and the border on my flat sheet.
Do you guys know how to cook an alligator?
You put it in the Croc Pot.
Good to see you all. Stay well.
I YDC, Do you?
Do you guys know how to cook an alligator?
I read that alligator steaks are quite nice
Still here.
I tried to steal a couple of photos for you guys, no luck. ah well.
Found out this morning that the big German Shepherd next door died probably 2 weeks ago. He was one of the ones that barked for no reason. I had noticed the quiet. It too bad, poor dog.
I YDC, Do you?
Morning,
I am still here
Nice to hear from you all and thanks for the choons, there are a few that I've not heard before.
Nothing much happening here same old routine but not bored thanks to modern technology.
This time in 1978 I was on my honeymoon with my first wife (in our new house! ) and it was snowing!
4 years later I was single and carefree again.
So here I am using the tech to talk to folks that I have never met but feel as though I know you all personally.
I'd like to play some choons for you, uplifting choons

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain.
Miss Roosevelt found a nice big stick this morning and had a gay old time running around the yard with it. This after last night when she stole a ball from the toddlers next door. I will have to try and get a picture of that. They can get their little hands through the fence and she gets right up close to them so they can scratch her. They are just a little over 1 year, cousins. She has 2 more balls in the yard - stolen from next door.

A little folk music. They are predicting 6 inches of snow from Sidney, NE to Cheyenne, WY tonight.
Stay warm & safe.

Greetings from what has been a most beautiful and sunny day in Suffolk!
Much of today has been spent in the garden, ole JR has finished mowing the lawns and I have been deadheading daffs, tulips and hyacinths and rooting out tons of grass, weeds and unwanted clumps of Muscari (Grape Hyacinths) that have finished flowering now.
I cleaned and polished off the garden table and JR got the parasol out from the shed, and we sat late afternoon enjoying good music and several drinks!
It was really nice when some neighbours from across the road shoved their heads over our fence as they were going for a stroll up the back lane behind our house. I think that they were grateful to have someone to chat with without breaching any self distancing advice.
I'm trying to keep spirits up with all my family. They miss being with us, especially Lucia - expecting her miracle baby, and scared as a first time mum.
Lovely music Pos, enjoyed your selections. .
Sad to hear that your first marriage only lasted for 4 years. My first marriage lasted for 14 years, but was doomed from the very beginning. I was young and foolish, and married a man 11 years older than me. I only stayed with him because I had his babies, two little girls (Tracey and Debbie) whom I loved so much, and could never trust a man again to love me and my girls - until I met JR, who loved me and my girls.
'Gator steaks/burgers were on the menu at many places when we lived in Florida, I have to admit that I could not bring myself to try one though!
Wyo, don't iron jeans! It ain't worth it hun, just wash 'em and wear, especially as you have four pairs to contend with!
Sorry to hear that the GSD has died, his owners must be heartbroken. I don't think that I have got over losing my beloved GSD Kaiser yet, cannot even think about him without shedding a tear.
Tomorrow is another day, so keep safe my dear friends, xxx
