    Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well and keeping yer peckers up!

Seems odd only cooking for us two - I have made a rather large cottage pie and there is lots left, I guess I shall have to portion it off and freeze it.
So miss cooking and catering for all my family ...... never thought I would say that!

Well, I'm geared up for another riotous appreciation for all our NHS workers et al, pots and pans ready to be banged, got me hooters out again ....
I really, really hope that the folk in our cul de sac street do better than last week, I was absolutely appalled and enraged at the lack of support.

Pos, how did you manage to get so many deliveries - did you book them well in advance of this crisis?
We have a delivery on 13th April, last one was 28th march, unable to book another delivery as all slots for the foreseable future are already taken.
We are ok though, making things last us a bit longer as neither of us can go out shopping due to our health issues.
If we do run short, I'm sure that we shall get by one way or another.

I print most of my labels through Paypal or Royal Mail and use ordinary paper and then cellotape it onto the letter/package.

Jolly fine choons I must say, by jove, my speakers are working overtime. Blows the dust off them - keep that music coming!

Well, another disgusting responce to the appreciation of the NHS.
We actually got two more folk joining in this time, one from our cul de sac street and another one around the corner, or so it seemed.

JR and I went out there with our cheering, clapping and banging our pans, we both have so much to be grateful for.
JR had bowel cancer and recently a parastomal hernia, both of which have been succesfully operated upon.
I had full blown pneumonia a couple of years ago or so, I was put in intensive care - but thanks to the the amazing nursing and doctors I pulled through.
My amazing consultant did suspect that here was an underlying complication to my illness and thanks to her, she discovered that I had Bronchiectasis.

I thank the NHS so much, I dread to think what we would have done if we were not cared for so well, and all covered by our brilliant NHS, we didn't have to pay for any of our treatments.

Well, on a lighter note - when we went out to cheer our NHS, we let the dogs out on the front lawn.
Reina, being a German Shepherd and extremely intelligent and probably had it in her nature not to freak out at disturbances, stayed calm by our sides.
Frank (AKA Frankfurter, the sausage dog) shot off up the lane. After frantically calling and whistling he came back, tail awagging. Sheesh, we were scared that he had run away.

Penni, I see that you have posted more choons,
I do so look forward to listening to them - you always post really good stuff.
    Night night everyone,
I'm off now to answer emails and speak to my children.
God Bless and keep safe, x

    Mornin Gorl

Trish, it was a rousing cocophony of noise in my cul-de-sac at 8pm, a bit different to last week.
Very heartening to see this worldwide appreciation taking place.
Tesco, when I could not get my regular delivery spot for Wed 18th March, I realised that there was going to be a delivery problem, so I booked slots ahead as far as I could, up to 15th April.
Now it is mission impossible to get a delivery slot anywhere for week commencing 19th. I can foresee a problem ahead for me, but I have 3 sons with cars that live on the other side of the river so I am sure that they will help the old bear out.

There are some fantastic choons in here now, I have a long list to listen too, now saved on my PC.

It is now a year since dear Meebo passed away, I miss both her and Old for their regular inputs to the forum.

There are not enough nice adjectives to describe Meebo.
Old was a kind hearted, generous, funny guy.

Last year I played a choon for Meebo, it was a mixture of both English and German words and whenever I play it I can't help but remember her.

    Stay safe folks

Just reading through recent posts and Pos mentioning Old, I used to love the slide dobro tunes he used to post, so in memory of him and our dear Meebo here's a few to be listening to that maybe they both would of enjoyed.

Oh, I so miss meebs and Old too. Two very special people that I feel privelidged to have 'known'. I felt like they were my friends, even though we never met up.

I loved the photos and news updates of Olds newly aquired instruments, and vids of his jamming with his mates.
I especially loved his photos of the wonderful orchids that he grew and nurtured and was so passionate about.

I miss meebo for her totally unselfish desire to help out when she could. Her generosity was boundless and her daily updates on the comings and goings of her pets and household made for unmissable posts on the forum.

I thank everyone for the fantastic selection of music here in the lounge, haven't got through them all yet, but enjoying listening to your choices.

JR and I have spent most of the day in the garden. So much work to be done after the horrible winter months.
We are both exhausted after our labours, and the green bin is now full - trouble is, we have received an email from Suffolk Council that the green garden waste bins will no longer be emptied for the foreseeable future, due to the coronavirus laying off a lot of the refuse collectors.

Taaa-raaah! I have abandoned my leggings/trousers and wore my shorts today in the sunshine, it was lovely to feel the sun on my body.
I have changed all the bed linen in all bedrooms, washed and dried it on the line.
I have to shed a tear when I see the girls bunk beds with all their cuddly toys sitting there - but no kiddies.... well, at least I have seen them on skype.

My kids and family are getting depressed, with this pandemic.
The phone is red hot with calls asking how JR and I are, and do we need anything, and they are fearful of the future.
Doing my best to reassure everyone .... I guess that's all we can do right now.

Keep posting everyone, it's so reassuring to know that we can chat, hear good music and have a virtual tipple to raise our spirits through these bad times.

Please form an orderly line keeping 2 metres apart to get your drinks from the bar.

Ah, my sweet little tomboy! This is a splinter that Sadie got under the first layer of her skin and I removed, very carefully. There was no blood and no puss so the vet decided he didn't need to see her. They have curbside service now days and she doesn't like to be away from Mom, so that would be traumatic for her. Hope she stays healthy until things are back to normal, if they ever are.

I miss Old and Meebo too. A couple of great long distance friends always ready to help with advice and good conversation. Hope they are at peace.

My neighbor (Buddy's Mom) works at a truck stop and they have decided to provide their employees with face masks. The boss went out and bought materials to make them and my neighbor was asking me if I would make them. He bought fabric and glue. All I can think of is never send a man to the fabric store - LOL! Not necessarily true, I have known a couple of men in my lifetime that could sew. One was quite proficient. Lisa called to check up on me, bless her heart. My son got his stitches out of his arm and is in physical therapy now and has a brace he wears for that and DIL took a picture of him with it on. He is a big super hero fan, Captain America in particular and has been yearning for some bionics.

I will try a couple of masks tomorrow. There are lots of videos on Youtube on how to make them. She will take them to work on Monday.

I had a bit of excitement yesterday. A red SUV drove up to my neighbor's and then drove away. They came back a few seconds later from the other direction, so I asked if they were lost and they said No, but thanks for asking. On Wednesday the Son's wife and children left under Sheriff supervision. 2 men in casual dress proceeded to enter the yard and push the son's car out into the street and then they tried to teach it to lead with one of those yellow tow strap thingys. So, I wrote down their out of state plate number and called the sheriff. The sheriff was able to call the son and discover the car had been sold to the young men, so I was just a nosy old lady. No one was at home, part of the reason I became watchful. I thought perhaps they were repossessing the car, but it was kind of a junker and they didn't have an adequate truck for that. Anyway all came out OK.

No sewing club until this is over with.

Everyone stay well and home. Oh, Pos, I got a big kick out of the stay the **** at home song, but had heard it before and sent it to a few friends (stole it from Nutty) . I usually don't like that kind of language, but when it comes from across the pond it doesn't bother me as much. Guess that makes me racist. Anyway it was funny.

Don't squat with your spurs on!
