A belated St. Patrick's Day to all! My son is named for the man and was nicknamed by my Dad - The Irishman. There is a lot of English and Welsh in our family tree, so it's cool.

I'm not sure what will happen to it at this point as it has a few manufacturing flaws. I had a hard time doing things right yesterday. I caught a slight cold and felt as if I was walking around in a fog for part of the afternoon.

March 13 (beware the Ides?) we got 14 inches of snow and a bunch of wind. This is the most snow we have received here on this day since 1979. I couldn't see much further than across the street and our streets are narrow here in the sticks. Sadie wasn't even happy about what was going on in her outside. My friend called from New Mexico and we chatted a good while which helped. She had seen the story of the Cheyenne blizzard on the Weather Channel. The next day we didn't get anymore snow, but the wind rearranged what we had. I may have contracted the cold from opening the door into the wind and waiting for Sadie to decide if she was going out or not. I also could have caught it from my bowling buddy. Ah well, so far it has just been a drippy nose now and then.

Sorry it's been a bit lonely Trish, I have been busy out in the garden putting up new bird boxes yesterday and also with work. In between times I have been busy listing, I am getting close to 5000 items. So busy I forgot to list some Irish tunes for St. Patricks Day. So to make amends here are a few.

Hey, all!

YES! The sun has finally started shining here again and it's been warmer during the days so I have been able to get outside more to get some work done. I'm happy to see you all seem to be doing well. Still having the nerve pain but I'm tired of not getting things done, so I just "work through it" and get done what I can.

Thanks for all the choons and pictures - Trish, those kiddos are so cute! And I see Wyo has been busy with her sewing machine again - one of these days I'll unearth mine and get some mending done - although if I've gone this long without being able to use and item, maybe I should just do something fun??? LOL!!

A neighbor dropped by yesterday to ask if I'd seen one of his cats. I hated to tell him that it is his dogs that have been causing problems. They got one of my outside cats and have been chasing his cats over here (while tearing up my "plumbing" down by the spring). He told me to just chase his dogs off and I told him that I do but I can't stay up all night to do it. I noticed last night he had his dogs penned up - YEA!! I have all my cats put up in the cattery now, as 2 of his un-neutered males have decided to move in over here to escape the dogs. It's too bad they don't chase possums, as I've dispatched 2 already this year. One was a female with babies in her pouch and I didn't feel a bit bad - that would have been 6 more I'd have to contend with. While both looked healthy, they do carry some bad diseases and can bite through chicken wire and get into my coops!

I'm ever so grateful for finding my helper, Todd. No "interest" there Trish! He's married and if his ears were pointed he would look like a little elf - LOL!! We have been working on the spring, I now have an awning over by the garden area so I can pot in the shade. My truck is in good running order except for needing the joints lubed and my riding mower is ready to go (needed a new starter) after it gets the oil changed. He will be doing the mowing and weed wacking this summer, as I'm not up for that. 101 other little things have gotten done and as soon as the winter debris has been cleared from the yard, I've a ton of it to get burned. The daffodils are blooming and all of my bulbs and corms are shooting up. The root perennials did not make it

I'm finally getting my "thinking ability" back so I'm off to make plans for revamping my store. I've decided to just have one - that will make it easier to promote my listings, as hopefully the main store URL will never change.

]I am glad you guys are patient with me and my projects. This is an example of an idea I thought of to use those quilt blocks. Incidentally, I love my machine! I realized the other day while doing the pot holders, sewing makes me happy!

Sadie is patiently waiting for breakfast, so I'll tell you the weather is beginning to behave, but they are saying another fron is moving in on Monday and Tuesday - Groan! I'd rather have rain, thank you.

My friend came to visit on Wednesday and we spent the afternoon visiting - what a joy! She quilts and sews so you can bet that entered the conversation.

Good Morning everyone, a busy day planned as Teagan, Matt, Abigail and Robbie are coming to stay the weekend with us.
Dom and the girls will also be here, so that's 4 little ones running amok!

All the spring bulbs are flowering away here too, the scent from the many hyacinths is just lovely, especially as dusk approaches.

'Morning folks - corr books, those choons sure are right up my street! (Almost literally I suppose seeing as I couldn't help but belt them out, several neighbours must have enjoyed them too!)

My weekend was hectic, and I have come down with a really bad attack of IBS, I'm drained (again, literally!)

I'm so thirsty so I'll make us all a big pot of tea,


then I'll set about trying to protect my green ticks and prepare the YDC stuff for posting.

Guess what I've been doing - LOL! While on my search for things to do with elephants I found the scraps from an outfit I made myself to wear dancing, 28 or 9 years ago. Still have it, but don't wear it anymore. So, I made a turtle from the scraps. I have been working on a penguin pot holder as my son is a penguin nut. I'm still thinking out the logistics. And there wasn't enough of this black for one.

Thanks Penni I made 19 of the elephant quilt blocks back in the 70's and I'm trying to figure out what to do with them. The pillow idea was different than anything I've listed on the hand crafted site so far. I guess I'll see. I may try to put together a table runner, that would use 2 or 3 more.

The weather has been Spring most of this week. Maybe, just maybe. Sadie is thrilled.

My neighbors have moved some things up North as he has a job up there and she has 18 months until retirement, so they are getting ready. I am pouting, they are good friends and neighbors.

Sadie and her BFF have been digging in the yard. I must think of a way to stop that. I went out to play with Sadie yesterday and they destroyed one flying cloth disc and got another damaged in just a few minutes, so I am trying to think of how I can play and train Sadie without an audience. Sometimes I wish they would move. They have purchased 40 acres out in the country, but they have to get living quarters on it. Story is one of the daughters in moving in next door, but I consider her friendly so I'm hoping she and hubby will be a bit more tidy.
