Nice to hear from you Shesa, thanks for the one-arm hug.
I get more hugs here than in real life, you are all so nice.

Nothing much to report here, no contact from 3 sons still, but youngest is firmly encamped in the living room again.
It's nice to have someone here, I might even put credit on my phone so that I can have text conversations with him.

I have immersed myself in my virtual model railway to keep busy and am really enjoyjng it.
There is a good forum for it but nothing but the hobby, nothing personal like the lounge or the kitchen here.
I am a member of a German forum too, (my models are of German trains) that's good but I need to keep my translator busy to take part.
They are very welcoming and are pleased that an Alter Engländer is an active member.

I was watching some YouTube train videos the other day and this train video came up in the side bar, I think one or two of you might like this

Been a few days since I last dropped in. Been a bit busy listing.

Pos, hope your sons soon realise what they are missing in you, I wish every day my dad was still around. It's true that you don't always realise what you've got until they've gone.
Anyway has others have said chin up mate and keep playing the music. Your last two tunes were spot on. Love pipes and brass. I even enjoyed the Mumfords, not being a fan of their recent stuff this was a real treat.

Looks like you've been a busy bee Wyo, my dad used to be the one with the sewing machine back when I was a Kid, mum never really got the hang of it, was more into hand sewing.

I'm very upset - crying my eyes out here.
Allen was such a great guy. He was a true friend to us all.
His last message pre-warned us that he was very ill, but it sure has knocked me for a six to know that he has passed. I hoped in vain that he would somehow get better.
Sending condolences to his friends and family.

Totally stunned with the sad news, such a great loss. RIP Old yet another mate who I never met in person though felt I knew better than some who I see day to day.
