    Hello y'all!
Yes books, it sure has been quiet in here, the jukebox is covered in dust!
Like you, I hope that everyone is well and not snowed in!

Thanks for all the good choons, some crackers there!

Aww, Posbear I'm so sad to hear of your troubles, you do seem to get more than your share of sadness. Surely there is someway that you can insist on seeing your grandchildren again? I would fight for the right to see mine if they were moved away from me - maybe you could get skype contact with them? It's important for them to see their grandad every so often, and for you to see the children growing up.
You have me worried about your health issue, so glad you added that it's not life threatening, that kinda news would be just too unBEARable (pun intended!).
C'mere - let me give you a big bearhug (((((xxx)))))

Well, last weekend was a blast - party on Saturday was just great - group were really, really good and we were all up and dancing. Even Lynn, my sister, wheeled herself onto the dancefloor and had a wee dance in her wheelchair! Good for her, I say!
The party at mums nursing home went well too, the residents enjoyed the singer very much and those that were able to had a little dance as well. The staff put on a lovely buffet for everyone, and even a few bottles of bucks fizz!

I haven't been too well again since Monday, I always pick up a lurgy when I mix with others. I have had to go back on antibiotics again, NOT happy about that at all, but at least I'm on my feet again and feeling better than I did earlier this week.

I'm off now to make up the spare room, got family visitors arriving in a little while, so bye for now .

Good to see Pos & Trish back in the lounge. Hope you both are soon over your ills, we all seem to be having more than our fair share of damn bugs as we get (slightly) older.

Hope you do get to see your grandkids Pos, I don't have any but appreciate how nice it must be when you do have some and get to spend time with them.

Anyway no tunes for now, i've got a pastie in the oven with my name on it and then it's off to work .

The snow is all gone, only lasted a day or two. We usually have a snow storm in October, a lot of times for Halloween. I think it is going to be nice this year. We have Snickers bars at the ready. The old wind is howling today and I went across the street just now and let Buddy in. His mama bought him a toy you can stuff treats in and yesterday there was a battle for it. Angel had it sequestered in her "nest". Mom brought home another yesterday, but Angel still wants the green one (new one is purple). The battle isn't vicious just gets stolen when the other one isn't looking. This morning when I put Buddy out, Angel was trying to get the green one again. They were funny

Happy's Mama is supposed to fly into Denver tonight. 5:35 pm. I'm not sure she (Happy) believed me when I told her, For one thing I'm not sure how much human she understands. She had a hard day last week when Dad went hunting. Left at 2 am and didn't get home until 11 pm. Got a prong horn and a deer, but the elk eluded him. At least that makes him a couple of ranks above vegetarian. You know vegetarian is a Cheyenne Indian word for Poor Hunter.

Being only part time employed now, I'm not sure what to do with myself. I ordered what they call hey Hot Fix Crystals and the iron for applying them, but they have not arrived yet. I'm working on some Christmas ornaments. I have 8 Saturn shaped satin balls left and I hope I can get them out of the house.

November 6th is election day here. We have term limits on the Governor position, so we have to elect a new one. One of our senators is up for re-election, not sure about how to vote. Guess I'll have to do some research. Dick Cheney's daughter is our Congress Member. I'm not sure how she got elected. Didn't even live in Wyoming at the time she was elected. But, she's due for re-election. I'm sure you all are sooo very interested in Wyoming politics - LOL!

I got the ham and beans made - Trish, I've saved some for you. I think it is Hormel makes an applewood smoked ham and sells it in a 2 pound package - just right for Sadie and me. Then I put in some peppers, onions, great northern beans, tomatoes, green beans, chicken broth and green chilis. I have had one bowl, pretty good. I took some down for Happy's Dad too. It disappeared.

Netflix just added a whole bunch of Monty Python -

I had forgotten about this little ditty.

Fred had the blues about 2 weeks ago, so I dug this one out for him. His response was, he thought I probably hated it because of the number of times he and my son had played it over and over at our house. he he. It always cheers me up.

    Greetings

Good tune Penni from an underrated group. (a song for you below)

Wyo, thanks for the catch-up and the choons too.

Books and Trish. I don't see much of the grandchildren anyway, parents always seem to be too busy.
I have not been denied access to them, but there is no way I could travel to Yorkshire to see them due to my health issues. (they haven't gone yet, so I might get to see them before they go)

For the last 2 years I have had treats for the local little vampires, but no visitors, this year I got 2 sets of very polite children at the door. Saved me from eating the sweets

Here's a song from a lady with a beautiful haunting voice, you should also listen to her other choons, soooo relaxing.

    Stay safe and warm folks,

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain.

Oh boy, you guys do choose some great choons to listen to.
My appreciation of music genre is widening, thanks to everyone that posted their fab choices.

Glad that you got some little trick or treaters' this year Pos, I know that you bears have to feed up well for the winter months but eating too many sweeties is not a good idea!
Hope that you can manage to see your grandchildren - ask to see them before they go up north.

Wyo, loved the Monty Python clips, always makes me laugh! Hey, that ham and beans sure is good - my imaginary bowl and spoon devoured my portion imediatement!
Have you received your hot fix crystals yet? I would love to see what you have created with them. You are one helluva clever gal with all your craftiness stuff - show us your creations!

Now then, where is my buddy Shes - not heard from her for a long time. YOO_HOO - SHES! Are you OK hun?

Penni, I hope that you are well recovered from 10 days of being with your family. Ever likely you were knackered, I'm exhausted after two or three days with my lot.
I hope you enjoyed your large gin after your rest!

Books, was that a proper Cornish Pastie in your oven? Hope you enjoyed it, I sure love a pastie although I do miss freshly locally baked ones delivered daily to our pub when we were in Cornwall ... sigh

Well, I had better sign off, I'm playing nurse to my sick husband.
(Now then guys, I did wear black stockings and a suspender belt, but he didn't notice)
He has man-flu and not been able to go to work for these last few days.

I'm apprehensive about tomorrow as my son is bringing his new love (and the kids) to stay the weekend with us - guess I will have to wear my friendly hat and shove my scorpions sting under my belly!

Will report in when I can - watch this space ......
