    G'day all

No worries Shesa - I slept through it anyhow! - We'll just have to wait another 450+ years for the next Super Blue Blood Moon!
Must say, it did cause a few dramas down here in low lying areas, with the huge King tides that came with it.

Well we had a cool weekend & yours truly had a jumper on again, & I was seriously thinking about digging my old Ugg boots out of the cupboard.
Had a little rain, but I only ended up getting 42mm out of it after 3 days of drizzle! We're heading back up to 37C for later in the week - so, you know what that means??? Yes! - the air-con will get another workout, & I'll just have to stay well & truly hydrated!

    Hope Y'all R well

Here's a good mate of mine from NZ (NZ's top steeler) Paddy Long, playing a choon you might know, at one of our regular socials.
Paddy plays every year at our annual festival, & he is currently in Dallas Tx. for their big steel festival during early March.

We had a nice awakening this morning at 5:15 am. The smoke detector in the basement needs a new battery and I haven't put it in as a ladder is involved, which I have become leery of in my more mature status. So the wind was terrible, at least 50 mph, and the electricity went out - so far nothing unusual for here. Then the smoke detector starts beep, beep every few seconds. After inspecting the upstairs, I decided I wasn't feeling too well (anxiety I'm sure) and it was time to leave. So Sadie and I went out to Gary's and stayed until the power came back on and the sun came up. Got a cup of coffee out of the deal and Sadie enjoyed Gary and his wife paying attention to her. What a way to start the week. Went to Gary's because he has a generator, but about the time he was going to start it the power was fixed. Just off for an hour. The joys of rural living at work.

G'day all - same here Wyo, we have regular power outages here! I think we're on the end of the line or something? Usually doesn't last long!
But it's very annoying re-setting all the clocks & timers on household appliances etc. (so much so, that I've given up even bothering!) I have a wrist watch.

Well I've just finished a couple of additions to the old bar fridge - you know who now has his mug on it in a couple of spots!
It's almost straight even - well it looks OK I guess - the further away ya get, the better it looks! Here's the pix.

    G'day all

Looks like it's just back to us again booksie! - some good toons there!

Well we're back in a heat wave again, with this week looking down the barrel of 35 - 45C's "They" are advising on the radio, to stay hydrated - no problems there!
I had my geetar social in Brizvegas yesterday & when I was leaving at 5pm, the temp was 36.5C.
Had to drive through a very nasty heat electrical storm on the way, which included stopping in the middle of the road (with warning flashers going) to clear a large downed tree branch off the road. One kind lady going the other way, stopped to lend me a hand, which was needed, & I was thankful for the assistance.
Naturally, when I got home here - NOT a drop did we get

Shesa - I finally played Tennessee Waltz this social, which went over well, & without too many fluff-ups!

And so to some cooling drinks & choons! - Hope all are well. ???

It's rather wintery here, so I expect everyone is hibernating

I'll tell you what! WE could do with some of your cold down here ATM.
Our minimum last night was 26C, with an apparent feel of 32C Only way I got to sleep was with one overhead fan going.
    I don't run air-con overnight - too risky & expensive!
Today's top is again 35C+ & will get hotter tomorrow & for the rest of the week.
This of course, is followed up by late afternoon & evening nasty electrical thunder storms.
Bad one in Brisbane & surrounds yesterday, knocked out power to a lot of areas - some roof damage & up to 250,000 lightning strikes! (an amazing light show)
    Unless you're out in it.

    Bit like this, only worse!

Hello everyone, I thought I'd pop in as I've found our new National Anthem and wondered what you thought of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SDJ...ature=youtu.be
