The wind blew today and it was cold. Sadie had a hard time with me because she wanted to be outside as much as usual and I didn't want her to get too cold, so I kept making her come in after an hour or so.

I think I have recovered from my illness, no fun. I sold a Correlle platter today, so I got out to the post office. I haven't been doing much, just cooking, eating, sleeping, and taking care of the critters.

The lady here in town that was driving me nuts is slowly learning to get along on her own. About 3 weeks ago she decided she needed to take a vitamin B pill her Dr. had prescribed 2 years ago. She had a reaction and decided she was having a heart attack, so she is back to checking in with me every night. The only problem is she wants to talk, every night. Yesterday she went to Pine for groceries and a music program they were having at the Sr. center so she had to check in when she left and when she got home. She is driving her own vehicle though, so that is progress.

The new picture of Sadie is to show how much darker she is now. Here is the first puppy picture, remember?

Aww, Wyo - little Sadie melts my heart, she is just so adorable.
I'm pleased to hear that you have got over your illness, but beware of those icy winds -
be sure to keep well insulated both outside and inside - I reckon JD should keep your innards warm!

Old - congrats to the Aussies for winning the first test - JR informs me that the second test is a bit more touch and go -
may the best team win!

As for JR - well, lots of stuff happening here.
He has been today to the plastic surgery dermatology place at the 'orspickle and had the jammy dodger thingummy pad removed.
I was very distraught when I saw what was underneath it -
a horrible patch of blackened skin covering a deep incision where the cancer was removed.
.
We have been reassured that the new skin will heal over his wound and will blend in.
Poor boy has had bags under his eyes which had filled with blood draining from this proceedure -
apparently because he has to take Clopidogrel blood thinner meds it caused excessive bleeding.
He looked like he had just had a boxing fight with Tyson Fury - and came worse off!
His operation to reverse the stoma thing has been postponed - now he has to go on 18th December.
We can't afford to say no - as it's Christmas-time - as we may have to wait a long time afterwards, and we both want rid of the awful stoma bag thingy.

I do hope that all my buddies are Ok - Shes - Pos - and everyone else -

Sadie looks fab there WYO - she sure has her adult coat on now & all the puppy fluff has gone. How's the digging situation? have you run out of balloons yet!

Trish I'm sure JR's patch will heal up now that the air can get to it - just have to be careful re infection. Not too long till the 18th & it'll be good to have that fixed & out of the way B4 Xmas.
Yes, it will be an interesting day in Adelaide today - I told you the Brits would have a better time of it down there. We're not out of the woods yet, it's still anyone's match.
Will depend on if we can get rid of Joe Root early! Then followed by a batting collapse would be nice (for us)

I've been listening to a lot of music recently and have discovered a new group of Symphonic Metal (genre) singers called Exit Eden.
Lead singer is Amanda Somerville ex of Epica, she's the blond with the big lungs and is expecting twins in Feb.
Probably doesn't mean much to most of you, but I think Trish will love their album called Rhapsodies in Black.

Meebo,Trish and Pos, Sadie says thanks for the kind words. Old I still have some balloons and this weekend I planted a few, she's popped them all, but they seemed to discourage the digging. The pup next door is a lot of the reason for the digging. She is growing too. Sadie is also a loving and smart pup. She has a rubber toy shaped like an "S". It got under the open bathroom door the other day and she picked up one end causing the other end to hook the door. When she tugged it moved the door. She got this look on her face that said "whoa, what's going on?" she dropped the toy and walked around to the side of the door to look and see. Of course when she picked up the toy again it didn't hook the door. Same toy she was playing with it and I was "ignoring" her, so she hooked the curve on my boot (my legs were crossed) and tugged.

I'm trying to teach her not to jump up on things. She puts her front paws on the edge of the kitchen counter and looks to see what is going on. Anyway, she knows what "four" means but doesn't want to give it up. I told her four just a little bit ago and then I asked her if she was a dumb dog. I swear she said squeak, woof which sounded like uh-uh. I know it's me.

I went to the post office a little bit ago and the wind was blowing like it has been all week, but there was like sleet blowing in it and it was cold and nasty. Supposed to be a better day tomorrow.

Trish, I will have a talk about JR with the head man. Wishing him a speedy recovery. Oh yeah, thanks for the hint about JD. LOL!

Pos/All, I've been in contact with Shesa & she sends us all a big Howdy! She has been very busy nursing an ill friend, & is looking forward to getting back into the lounge ASAP. She'll need a BIG drinkies when she does I'm guessing. She hasn't done a runner!

Ah - poor old Joe Root & Co. eh? That's 2 - ZIP folks! Joe is still talking up their chances (I s'pose he has too) BUT I must point out, that the Brits haven't won a match at the WACA since 1978! - I'm starting to feel sorry for Joe - nah, not really!

Hmmmmm, baaaaycon!
Can't remember when I last had bacon, or alcohol for that matter

I am letting my listings close down now til after Christmas, I doubt if I would be able to get to the P.O. I can't walk to it, it's a mile away and my old knees won't allow me a 2 mile treck at the moment.
I won't put anything in local post boxes, the collection is once a day before 8.00 am, plus you never know what liquid you might get posted through the slot overnight this merry time of year!
Rason is I usually get the bus (I have a pensioner's bus pass) but they are on strike a lot up to Christmas.

Was just thinking doing the same Pos - putting the lot in mothballs till the new year!
They don't call it the silly season for nothing! We are about to be gouged big time (yet again) on the fuel prices, just in time for Xmas & N'years!
Some say that petrol is about to go up by 40c a litre.

Have had an interesting morning with my first snake intruder in the house after nearly 4 years.
Cut a long story short - found a 1+ meter green tree snake in the kitchen, hiding behind the toaster & pretending to be an electrical lead.
Must have entered after I opened the front door this morn. These are non venomous, but can move fast & will give you a nasty bite, like being hit on the hand with a hammer & followed up with a hornet type sting. Can make young children & pets ill.
So - the local snake catcher was duly called & said critter was ID'd & carted away for relocation! (far away hopefully)
Was worth the $65 to be rid of it, & as they are protected & I didn't want to kill it, I was happy to pay the fee. (See net pix)
