Hi guys, many thanks for the good wishes, hugs and prayers - all very welcome and muchly appreciated.
JR has been for the fluoroscopy procedure today - it has made him quite poorly, as he wasn't quite expecting the aftermath!
Poor bugger, he has had to have a complete change of clothes and has had nausea and stomach pains, but he is coming round now.
We don't know any results yet - I guess we will be informed when the x-rays have been studied by the team looking after him.

My brave sis is holding her own and doing well, last thing I heard.
Teagan is also fighting on, I will know more later when the phone calls are made.

Trish - my thoughts and prayers have been with you even if I haven't been visible. Glad to see a little head way is going on, slow and steady wins the race. Do take care of yourself as well as your loved ones.

My laptop has been in the shop, I had them install Windows 7. I know, I know I am behind the crowd. I just hate to have to learn how to do things over again. It had reached the point that Firefox and Chrome wouldn't update because Vista was no longer supported. Ah progress.

Sadie will get her final set of puppy shots including rabies next week. Her legs keep getting longer and longer. I've kept her on a leash when outside for a couple of weeks and the digging seems to be under control now, although I am still keeping tabs on her through the window. She gets really excited when the German Shepherd next door comes out. That's right he is the one she was scared of when they first met. I am not really sure, I think she and Loki (Aussie cross) are better friends but she plays with Spice now too. Sometimes Loki gets jealous and nips Spice.

It is getting cooler here and it is overcast here today. (sigh) Winter is on the way. Went to Pine yesterday and picked up the laptop and a few groceries. Took Loretta with me, she just about had bare cupboards according to her. I have decided she is a bit of a drama queen. Oh well, no good deed goes unpunished.

Just returned from Pine. Sadie is now socially acceptable - she got her first rabies shot - good for a year now. I will have to go back later this week, have to take the tower (computer) for installation of 7 and get puppy food.

We got about 3-4 inches of snow yesterday. Sadie's first snow. She attempted to dig under the fence again and she was covered in mud when she came in. She seems to think that white stuff is good to eat.

Hello again!
Thanks ever so much once more for all the good wishes -and choons! (Nice ones Penni).

Things are beginning to sort themselves out here.
My daughter Teagan is making a good recovery after several problems - little Robbie is doing well and is now 9 pounds 7 ozs at two weeks old.

My sister is not doing so well - she was allowed home from hospital yesterday but is mentally tormented as to her future, she didn't even want to go home from hospital as she felt that she wasn't able to cope with being wheelchair bound in her own home. She was taken home by an ambulance, so sad.
Her family are doing everything they can to help her, but she must get over the mental trauma of coping with just one leg.
We are all deeply concerned for her.

JR is doing OK - he hasn't had results from the fluoroscopy procedure yet, but his stoma nurse wants to see him next Wed.
I sure hope that he will be OK.
He gets low at times, but I can always manage to make him smile - especially if I moon him or flash certain body parts in front of him - although I think this has added to his slow recovery - seeing what is left to offer ! ... Haa- haaa! (Uggh) !!!!

Now then, just coz I have been having a few probs lately doesn't mean that you lot can not post here in the cocktail and music lounge.

SNOW?????? I guess it is that time of year - wouldn't know it here as it is still in the 80's. It is supposed to drop below 50 at night next week though.

I'm glad that Sadie is "socially acceptable"! Does the boy-dog next door next door think she is any more appealing now?? Mud and all?? I hope she likes baths - Jake is getting one today if I get off my rear pretty soon.

Oops!! I don't see pics, Trish!! You certainly do "sound" better as things are sorting themselves out! I can't even begin to imagine the mental anguish your sister is going through - it will take time for her to accept what has happened and when she does, figuring out how to cope with it will be easier. I will Pray that "acceptance" comes sooner than later.

It sounds like things are improving for most everybody - although I didn't need the visual of "what is left to offer" LMBO!! There sure ain't much left of me these days either, as I'm down to 100 lbs. Can anybody say "bean pole"??? LOL!!

Hubby is off work this week, so I'm doing my best to keep him motivated so some things will get done this week. There's a few things I just can't do myself like repairing the chicken coops - the 6 ft roll of chicken wire is too heavy for me to lift. I can't imagine your sisters trauma, but I hope she can look forward to the day when she can stand upright with a brand new prosthetic leg. In the meantime, I'm sure the hospital & Docs can help her through the mental adjustment. They have lots of experience in this regard I'm sure.

Tip to stop dogs digging, especially if they keep going back to the same spot.
Blow up a kids party balloon, place in the hole & lightly cover with dirt. Next time the dog digs there - BANG in their face!
Won't hurt them - just scares the daylights out of them.
Two or 3 times should cure any dog - maybe even once will do it. I cured a mates German Shepherd with this method & it only took 2 times.
His whole yard was looking like a bomb site B4 that!
