G'day Mommabear & cheers! Hope ya had a good one! Howdy to our other cocktailers one & all

I spent the day in air-conned comfort, watching the Aussies thrash the Pakistanies at cricket & with my big woolly mate (above) beside me!
It was only 34c here, & we got off lightly compared to other spots.

OLD - sounds like you had a wonderful HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!! Thinking of you with the A/c on is making me colder - lol!

We are back to colder weather and I've been catching up on house cleaning. Hope to get started on a "listing marathon" soon so I can get those 8 big totes out of my living room since I now have room to store them in the old house - yea! Then I can get back to working on my flooring project.

GOOD NEWS!! My neighbor that I've been helping take care of has finally gotten "official" help approved and started yesterday. He got approved for 39 hours a week to be spread over 7 days and split into two sessions to cover all his meal times. In no way have I begrudged the time I have spent caring for him but it will be nice not to get those spur of the moment phone calls saying "No one showed up to feed me" or "I've made a mess of myself and need cleaned up". They are even allowed to carry him to town to run errands - something that I did not like doing because getting him in and out of the car and being in public places increases the chances of his falling. I am on the list to be called if they can't reach him by phone or if he presses his "help" button in an emergency but that is okay because I can get to him quicker than anyone else if he is in trouble and have a key to his house.

Where is everybody?? I'm visualizing Trish running after her adorable little rugrats, Wyo's fingers too frozen to type from shoveling snow and Pos at his computer playing with his model trains. I do hope everyone is warm and healthy - except Old, who I am sure is staying cool and well hydrated

    Y'all take care!!!

    Shes

    Hi everyone,
I thought I would pop in and say hello whilst I have a little time to myself.
Dominic and the kids are coming here (again!) tomorrow, so I expect I shall be busy again looking after and feeding everyone.

My computer has been playing up, it keeps crashing - it's something to do with shockwave flash and I keep getting a message 'Warning: Unresponsive Plugin Shockwave Flash maybe busy, or it may have stopped responding' ??? I'll ask Dom to have a look at it for me tomorrow. It's so annoying when I'm trying to sort things and haven't much time to spare waiting for the blerdy thing to reboot.

A belated Happy Australia day to Old and Mommabear! Hope you guys are keeping cool and well hydrated.
Old, the waterfalls sent me rushing into the bathroom! Lol!!!

It has been very cold here just lately, and it makes me feel lethargic, plus I'm tired as I don't sleep well. Dunno why, seems like ages before I can nod off, my brain goes into overdrive! I think I need a break....or a stiff one hee-hee!

I have to phone my youngest sis now as she is worried about our mum. She is now unable to eat solids and is losing weight rapidly. It's her 89th birthday next week and my sisters were expecting me to travel over to Stoke to see mum.
I can't make it as I have to attend the hospital chest clinic for lung therapy (after the pneumonia and bronchiectasis maladies!) I shall probably visit mum and the family in early March as Teagan is having an operation and JR and I said we would travel to Nottingham to look after her and Abigail post op. Stoke is only about an hour away from Nottingham, so that would tie in nicely.

Right, must dash - love to y'all, thinking about you and wishing we could all have a party (especially at Old's place, seeing as though the weather is warm and he has a bar at his place!) ..... or ....

we could all congregate at Pos's place and drag him away from his model train thingy ..... or .......

pick buttons up and go clubbing in Liverpool ..... whoo-hoo
