    Turn the lights down please!

Great night last night spent with my 4 sons and their partners, plus lots of their friends who I hadn't seen for 5 years.
It was a quadruple celebration, my birthday (19th Dec), eldest son's birthday (20th Dec), youngest son's Birthday (31st Dec) and of course celebrating the New Year.
I was collected from my bungalow at 19:00 by my eldest, only trouble was he was on his latest motorbike and I was to get on the pillion!
It was a Suzuki Bandit 600 and boy did it shift, even with a big bear on the back!
    I want one!

I hope you all had a great evening of celebrations and are not too worse for wear.
    Graham

I got home in a taxi.
Don't think my son would have been able to drive due to his consumption of copious amounts of JD!

I can safely face bright lights now that my 'headache' has gone as has my heavy cold, i knew that Whisky would cure it

Yea! Trish is back - so glad you had a good time - even if you did hurt yourself more than once!!! Have you got thawed out yet? We've been really blessed with warm weather - only once down to freezing but it's going down there again the end of this week.

Thank you all for the choons, cocktails and happy wishes - could have used a couple to slow me down the couple of days prior to the wedding!! The "First Dance" was great!! You could tell they put a lot of work into pulling that off

Pos - just be careful not to say "never" about getting married again!! That's what I said and was single for 17 years until I met this guy on Facebook that I'd gone to high school with Glad to hear the JD cured what ailed you!

Sounds like everybody had a good time welcoming in the New Year - OLD, I was fast asleep before it ever got here! LOL!! I doubt we missed much!

The wedding went off WITH a hitch - as intended. Very simple and short with a nice meal after, shared with a small number of family and friends.

Off to do something, what, I'm not sure. Probably eating and sleeping a lot since I didn't get much of either before the wedding and that's how I spent most of yesterday - lol!

    Y'all take care!
    Shes

    Yoo-hoo! Happy New Year cocktailers!

I'm sooooo glad that things are returning back to normal.
Everyone has gone back home and I'm recovering from all the child-minding, late nights, early mornings with kiddies that wake up only a couple of hours after I crawled into my pit and then want me to tell them a story - - endless cooking and forcing alcohol down my throat .... () lol!!!
Jeez, I think we shall have to contemplate going away for New Year celebrations in future.
It's getting too much for us now, we are too long in the tooth to cope with such an onslaught!

Glad your special day went well for you Shes, now don't you go eating and sleeping too much - remember you are on honeymoon duty ....

Pos, glad you are 'cured' of the lurgy - I'm struggling with mine, it has decided (as per usual) to manifest itself into my lungs and I'm desperately trying to avoid yet another chest infection. No way am I going back into God's waiting room ....

Hope to 'see' y'all back here whenever you can drop by -
Oh - I thought it would be nice if we all toasted our landlord dear Al - who created the lounge for us ...... and who we all dearly miss so much x
    Happy New Year Al!

    Morning

I hope that by now we should all be back to 'normal'.

Each week when I order my groceries from Tesco, I check to see if they have any Bundaberg rum in stock yet. (They said they would try and stock it).
I got really excited when I searched for Bundaberg and got a result!
    Then the disappointment crept in..

    Ah well, nearly there

and now for something completely different..

    G'day all

Close, but no cigar there Pos ( on the Rum front) Keep searching

Great music clip - unreal voice!

Here's the one I woke up with this morning - very apt I thought, given that Bill is into Palm wine & sunny climes PLUS Australia is just about to thrash Pakistan in the 3rd. cricket test in Sydney today! It'll be a whitewash 3 - 0 should that come to pass. So, you know where I'll be sitting today! (with square eyes)

Hi folks, dragging my feet as I shuffle into the lounge -
As I feared, the lurgy has manifested itself into yet another chest infection, bad news for my bronchiectasis condition.
The doc has put me on another course of steroids and Clarithromycin - haven't started on them yet.
I just wanted to share another drink with all my eBid pals in the lounge before I crawl onto the wagon.

This is a special round of drinks - all provided and paid for by our landlord Al, who wishes you all a Happy new Year.
    Cheers Al!

Enjoy everyone, and raise your glass to Al!
