Yes Trish - the Amarok was only 24 hrs old in that pic. It has now had its first birthday! (still looks the same)

Potentially, this could be in the happy new parents near future, & may wish they had used a similar product.

Morning all! Thought you got rid of me, huh?? Been very busy getting the kitchen floor done so I could get all my plants in, which was accomplished last night - WHEW! The kitchen looks like a forest, but many plants will go into the living room after I've done the floor in there - no need to keep moving them around!

So glad to have that done - we had a cold night last night (30 degrees but no frost) and for sure some of the tropicals would not have been happy. We'll be back up in the 70s this next week but I doubt we'll see 50's at night again

Old - sure glad it is "shiny" way down under I have a link to a conversion chart that I use frequently but will admit to being too lazy to look up conversions for the recipe - sorry

Trish - so sorry it's not "shiny" at your place but the substitute works well, as I've made it both ways and you can lighten up on the alcohol if you want??

YIKES from me too on the God/Goddess names. Kids now already think they are Princes & Princesses AND should be treated as royalty! I'm afraid they will be in for a rude awakening when they figure out nothing in life is REALLY free - you always pay for it somehow. Glad my child raising years are waaaay behind me.

Books - Copperhead Road is a huge "must play" at the local concerts I go to and as long as the copperheads stay at the concerts and OUT of my yard, I'm happy! Love Bob Dylan too!!

Hey, Wyocowgirl! Not just a "fellow Yank, but also a former cowgirl! The real kind - herded cattle on horseback in SD before I moved to TN. The ex and oldest son were into rodeo and I worked for a stock contractor loading bulls & horses into the chutes and then work the "strip chute" when they were done. Lots of good memories of rodeo and reenactment weekends!

Congrats on the new pickup! I think I'll still be driving one when I'm 80!! A car just don't feel right!! LOL!!

You can keep that snow!!! Most I've ever seen down here at once was about 5" and that suits my old bones just fine!

I'm feeling so lazy today but need to get up and work out all the kinks I acquired moving plants yesterday. Hope y'all don't mind the country "choons" - love that word! Almost noon and it's still not even to 60 degrees - think I'll focus on the house today and do outside chores tomorrow. Doing the floor and plants (necessities) has severely cut into my leisure time so if I disappear for a couple of days you'll know I'm out digging in the dirt or the woods - think I'm entitled to a couple of "fun" days I haven't put my new mums in yet as it was so stinkin' dry for so long and I hate dragging the hose all the way from the critter area to the gardens - there WILL be a better watering system in place next year! Also got some spring flowering bulbs (since I couldn't get Trish's) to get in the ground and then put everything to bed for the winter!

Oh my gosh, Old! I think I would have had a heart attack before I got out of that last one.

Shesa - EeeeHawwww! I debated for about a year on the vehicle. I really want a John Deere Gator, but it's not really what I need now days. Should have got one a few years ago I guess. I am glad to have this new (to me) pickup and not have to put out the $40,000+ for a new one. It's nice and should work hard for me. I love my pickup, but when gas prices went up, I couldn't see driving one every where, so I got a car for when I leave town. It was a sad day when I realized "Selby" was going down hill.

Onika is back to being herself again, Whew! She mostly sleeps now, but at supper time she has a little dance she does and her tail is back in the air again, such as it is. I might go to the city tomorrow and get plates for "McAngus". I'm sure Ed's (former owner) sister would like his vanity plates. I can move the license from Selby, but they don't really work anymore, so I guess I'll just get plain ole plates. No pictures as yet as it's still on the warm side here and the flying, stingy things are out. No, not bees - wasps.

I must get going for now, we are washing clothes.

OLD - And I thought my roads were bad! The one I've lived on for 17 years will be getting actual pavement next spring We do have some places like that around here but won't take my truck there - lol!!

Liked the Aussie Cowgirls music but the girls themselves didn't appeal to me - although I can sure see why you like them! LOL!!!

WYO - I'm really happy that you got your truck but Gators are good too - used one during calving season in case I had to bring a calf back to the barn for some reason. Glad to hear Oinka is doing better. Have you got those red wasps? They are meaner than a snake and will hunt you down if they see you. They have ground hornets here too that are really painful, if stung. We've also got scorpions here too - I thought they only lived in the desert until I put a shoe on one morning!

Shesa - Yeah, my buddy Gary has a Gator, but I just couldn't imagine going out in -20F weather and be bopping around town in a Gator, which I have to do at least once every Winter. I also need something to bust my driveway open so I can get my car out. I have 2 driveways and the road maintainer always blocks the one the car has to go out of. No calves to rescue here, as my Dad told me more than once "we live in town". 4 blocks X 4 blocks wide spot in the rode = town.

Here is a picture of the truck. I feel lucky to have gotten it at a good price. Auctions can be dangerous.
