Buttons, that's gravel to be spread in front of the building.
Clouded up this afternoon and we had severe thunderstorm warnings, nothing has happened yet. It's getting dark now, so maybe we'll get that 50% chance of a storm yet.
I YDC, Do you?
Up late tonight...think this will be the usual now that I am listing again
Nipping off for a Coke Zero
Hi everyone. Have been a bit busy just lately with damp problems in our kitchen. Dehumidifiers and fans going 24/7.
Then this last weekend it was my annual visit to the Southwell folk festival, more damp !!!
Here a few vids from the weekend.

I just found out yesterday, that I'll be on the bill at our annual steel geetar festival in 12 days time!
So if you don't see me around much, it's because I'm head down & tail up practising. Seems the list of available artists this year was a bit short, so they've had to make up the difference with old codgers like me!
Here's one I'll be doing for sure - although it'll be on Dobro & not as fancy as this original of Rob E G's - but hopefully a reasonable cover

Yoo-hoo! ........ I'm baa-ack!
We had a great fun holiday, met lots of lovely people.
Can't say the food was brilliant, but I was in the minority as everyone else said it was good - guess I'm just too fussy!
It was great to be able to select from lots of choices in the main restaurant, and there was also an Italian Restaurant next to the pool bar which served some decent fodder - all free for all-inclusive guests, including wine etc. We dined there al fresco most lunchtimes, and were treated to a demonstration and sampling of how to make Paella and Sangria. Both delicious!
The all inclusive bars were very good with a wide selection of drinks and quick service by friendly staff. Needless to say, JR and I took advantage and got rather ratted - especially for the first few days, oh ... the shame! JR stumbled and fell over and I got trapped in the sliding doors on the balcony and bruised my arm and cut my leg - doh!
The animation team at the hotel were lovely, lovely people and we took part in lots of the games. Lucia won the Mikado game and I won the darts - we both got a certificate! It was great fun having a laugh and making friends with the other folk who joined in from many other different countries.
The weather was sunny every day and very, very hot, around 30C to 35C. On Monday it was just unbearable - 45-46C in town and 40C on the coast. Lucia went to the beach, and JR and I were shopping in town - we almost keeled over with the heat, struggling with carrier bags in that heat. Good job there were plenty of watering holes to stop off at! We didn't do as much shopping as we wanted to, the heat beat us.
Here are a few pics ......
Today, I have emptied two suitcases and washed and dried everything and as I nearly fainted at the dreadful overgrown state of the garden, I have spent some hours weeding and filled the garden waste bin to it's capacity. I have cooked dinner, washed up and also relisted almost 600 listings that had ended during my absence, removed the holiday notice so I reckon I have earned my (very) large whisky I'm now enjoying!
I'm now retiring - happily tired.
