Thread: Cocktails!!! and Music

Old, I liked that last choon - I could have happily sat meself down and ..and ... erm ... sang along - oh no, duh .... I can't sing (shaken rusty can with stones in sounds like a choir of angels compared to my singing voice) ....... well, maybe I could have banged .... on a drum or tambourine that is ...
Good luck with the quack tomorrow - as Sues would have said 'fingers, toes, and eyeballs crossed for you'!

Buttons, hope all goes well for you tomorrow with your fibroscan and you get the results you are hoping for - fingers, toes, and eyeballs crossed for you too!

Wyo, hope the date was enjoyable - don't let Johnny Tractor lead you around though! OMG - Reina is just awful where cats are concerned - she chases them when off the lead. She's a coward though - if the cat stands it's ground, Reina backs off pretending she wasn't really interested at all and she was chasing an imaginary rodent! It's really funny to see!
Pos, how ya doin' old pal? Did your son who lost his job at the same time as Lucia get another job yet?
Lucia has heard that she has been successful with her last interview - she starts work end of June - meanwhile the bank of mum and dad have kept her finances going

You are just not going to believe this but ......
I have yet another stinking cold.
Isla had yet another cough and cold when I looked after the little ones last Friday - and lo and behold, it has manifested itself in me. AGAIN!
My immune system is non existent - if anyone coughs, sneezes or farts in my general direction - that's it - I have their lurgy.
Oooh - that reminds me of a funneee ......

Home from the big city. A great day. Got my mane sheared, got new flavors for my smoke stick, went to Hobby Lobby in search of Thread Heaven - they didn't have. I Happened to remember there is a vacuum and sewing store in the same shopping center, and Voila! they had it, Yay! So, I decided to press my luck. Gary is going to put some gravel in front of the building with the new doors and I wanted to put down some weed barrier, but I didn't want to go to Menard's (a big box store, hate em) so I went over to Murdoch's (a farm and ranch store) pretty big to walk around too, but better than the other. They had some and right by the cashier's desk which is by the front door. $7.50 for a mess of it. 10 ft x 3 ft, I think. Then I went to go drop off a donation to Meals on Wheels, but they were closed, but now I know where it is and that it is open 10-5 Wed-Fri and 10-2 on Saturday. So not a total loss.

    Howdy all

Well I got the all clear from the Doc & don't have to go back unless I have a problem, but another colonoscopy on the horizon in 12 months

We are in for a big storm & gale force winds this weekend with some areas predicted to get up to 250mls of the wet stuff.
This in conjunction with a King tide on Saturday night means there will be some flooding in coastal areas.
I just hope we get some of the rain out of it, as we are bone dry here ATM

Here's another choon from the Deslondes for ya!

    And a drinky

    Greetings
Good news on the all clear Old.
Sunday was little Mia's 3rd birthday so I went along to the kids party which was followed by a barbecue.
I had all four sons in one place so we got talking, and drinking, talking, drinking, slurring, drinking, miminmg, drinking, drinking, drinking.......
I have not touched alcohol since Easter and before that it was Christmas, so I became very, very, drunk

For some reason, i felt quite unwell on the monday, must have ate something from the barbecue that set me off.

Buttons, i hope you can get your liver sorted out.

Trish, maybe a bit more anaesthetic from a bottle is needed to kill youre bug, certainly got rid of mine!

Wyo, what big doors you have! Careful with that tractor riding, you know you will get carried away.

Here's a song for tractor lovers..

    Bye for now
    Graham

Sun is shining, birds are singing, what more could one ask?
Have 5 packages to do, so I can't stay and chat for long. My yard is being mowed and feed to the sheep. I am thrilled, sold one of my hand made items, sadly off of that hand made site.

So far this week pos I have been told i have auto immune cirrhosis, and today GP rang to say I have got an over active thyroid, and a letter appointment for a colonescopy on the 22nd. I am going to take a camp bed with me and ask if i can stay over Plus the disability DLA to PIP came to assess me today. Mike goes to hospital on the 17th for his eye injections, thinking of changing the house name to Emergency ward 10, but a scouse sense of humour finds a joke in everything

Oh little buttons, what awful times you are going through hun. I really feel for you.
I just don't know where you get the strength from to keep yer pecker up and keep smiling. I really hope that everything works out OK for you and Mike.

Well done Wyo with your sales - your work is incredibly beautiful, and deserves to be recognised. Hope you are pleased with your mane cut - I have to go tomorrow to get mine done. I tell ya gal, I fear the hairdressers more than the dentist - I just cannot bear to be scalped, or look as if I have a wig on! My hair is naturally kind of curly but when it's wet it looks much longer. I like the casual 'windswept' look, with spiky fringe - it's really hard to get the cut I want. Watch this space for either the compliments or damnations to my hairdresser if she does it wrong!

Now Posbear - tut tut! Fancy you getting drunk at a kids party. (I thought that I was the only one that could do that!)
Seriously though, I'm so pleased to hear that you had a good time, you sooo deserve it, and so do your sons after the trauma's of late. Hope the erm... malady that followed has now well and truly gone, and you are as fit as a fiddle again!

Old, what super news for you! So pleased to hear that you have the all-clear.
Hope the big storm, gale force winds, high tides and rain don't cause too much heartache with flooding in the coastal areas - and hoping that you get your much needed wet stuff. Hey, thanks for that drinky-poo - any more?!

Well, despite feeling really rotten with this cough and cold I have managed to get through today OK - I've had both the little ones again. I'm now both physically and mentally drained, they are both at a demanding age. It was a long old stint - early start and 6.45pm finish, almost 12 hours. Good job I prepared and 'fridged the dinner yesterday - I made cottage pie with fresh veg and made a strawberry and apple crumble, the kids (and grown ups) loved it with a dollop of ice cream!
Isla was snotty nosed again - please God don't let me catch yet another cold from her.
I am so weary of feeling unwell with these colds and coughs and sore throats and earaches!
Never mind - I have something to look forward to.
On Tuesday we fly out to my beloved Spain - Costa Del Sol Torremolinos. 8 wonderful nights of all inclusive food and drinks - bliss!
No cooking, no washing up - free drinks day and night - ahhhh!
I shall be sat somewhere here awaiting the evening entertainment!

I'm feeling 'FREE' 'coz I have placed a holiday notice on all my shops -
Oooooh ..... choon coming up! (I just lurrvv moon the loon - can't take my eyes off him - oh boy, what a drummer!)

    Greetings from sunny Runny

Yes Trish, I recovered from the (cough) illness.

It was great to have all 4 grandchildren in one place as well as my sons, the kids party was very tiring and my knees are wrecked.

Anyway, I am fully recovered now. I have also had visits from 2 sons to check if I was OK.

Buttons, you are terrific for your bravery and attitude, I'd come over and give you a big cuddly bear hug but I fear a clip around the ear 'ole!,

Wyo, you are very talented with your knitted goodies.

I hope Old is feeling 'relieved' at his all clear!

I hope you have a great hol Trish.

Now, let's go into the sunny garden, settle down in your favourite garden chair, get a cocktail or cold beer and listen to some relaxing choons.

Thanks for the choons Posbear, some crackers in there. (second lot preferred!)
Glad you are feeling much better!

Buttons - I'm not sure what 'proper' Saffron is??? Where would I shop for it?
I know it's a spice derived from crocus stigma's - have you learned that it's cheaper in Spain?
Can't say I have ever seen any before on all my travels abroad. Tell me what to search for and I will do my best for you x
G'night folks, I'm off to my pit - drained.
