    Cheers for the champers!

Buttons, on my 21st my mates hired a mini bus, we went from Wavertree in Liverpool to the Windmill at Parbold, stopping many times on the way there for "refreshment".
We called at the Blue Anchor where one of my mates deemed it appropriate to pinch a mini-skirted girl's ar5e! She promptly turned round and smacked my face as I was drinking a pint, the glass smashed into my face resulting in me getting soaked with blood gushing out of a puncture wound in my cheek. I had had plenty of anaeasthetic by then so didn't feel any pain. Remarkably it was only a small wound but the amount of blood mixed with beer made my white shirt into a tie and die psychedelic one!
We ended up in Henry Africa's near Wigan. For some reason I don't remember the journey home, but my mates left me on my mum's doorstep and scarpered. I remember being woken up by the milkman (remember them?) he asked what was up, I remember saying to him that I was waiting for the door to stop moving so that I can get my key in the keyhole!

Here's some choons from 1982 when I got a divorce from my 1st wife and discovered Heavy Metal music, a happy year it was

    Hi y'all,
I haven't listened to all the choons yet, I'll play them when I have some free time to myself (and relaxing with a drop of the good stuff!)
Many congrats on becoming a grandad again PosBaloo, what darling cherubs they are!
I was going to pop the champers corks but Old beat me to it!

Just had a good listen in to the choons - have to say I enjoyed the Judas Priest one best of all, and really enjoyed the Highway to Hell vid - nice one books!
Here are a few choons whch were on the jukie when I had my (miserable) 21st birthday.
I was married with two kiddies and my ex-hubby was on night shift at Florence Colliery (he was a miner who worked on the deep underground coal faces).
My pal Gladys babysat for me and I went around the corner to the local pub with my mother in law!!!!

Congratulations Posbaloo! I am "green" with envy.

Yesterday was quite the day here. The electricity went off at 4 am. The wind was blowing with 45 MPH gusts and I couldn't see the neighbor's houses (unusual, I can usually see at least a faint outline). Cody had to get the tractor out and pull the linemen out that were stuck near him. There were others stuck also, but you couldn't see to get to them with the tractor. Power came back on at 10:30, but my furnace did not start up. The house was at 63F at this point in time. I decided to make some breakfast pizzas and shortly after I got the oven warmed up, the furnace began working although feebly. Finally as the day progressed the furnace began to cycle properly and we were up to 72F early in the evening. Whew!

Here is a link to the story in the Cheyenne paper. I don't know if we got as much snow as they did, but close enough for gummit work.
