Hmmm, I wonder..... maybe JR's ancestry could be traced back to Royalty... after all, his surname is son of Richard.
Maybe it was one of the King Richards.......although I dare say he bears a more striking resemblance to Henry VIII .....

Seriously, he has suffered today with this gouty hand .... and to make matters worse, Dominic has his first gig tonight as a DJ.
All his brand new equipment has been stored in our spare room.
Dom was running a bit late and needed a hand loading up the van with all his gear, poor JR was trying to help with one hand.
Good job I'm pretty strong and could help carry the gear down the stairs. All is well now, Dom has gone off to do his DJ'ing, JR has had his curry (and meds) and now I'm about to sink another Ouzo before I tuck into my curry.

It's a beautiful evening, the longest day - so I'm going to sit outside and marvel at all I see .....

LOL Henry VIII! Actually my bro bears more than a passing resemblance to Henry VIII as well, (both in size/stature and coloring), though he's trying to lose a few, hopefully he'll be successful.

Poor JR, hope his hand is feeling better today. No gout here, but my back has been crazy lately what with all the rain. I joke I could never move to Ireland (as I wanted to for many years) as the rain would make me even less likely to move than I am now.

Oooh, thanks Tony, I'll have a long, cool cocktail, with coconut milk.
We have had a barby today, most enjoyable. Weather was a scorcher.
Now I have a burning face, nose like a ripe cherry, and my knees resemble those of the red-knee Tarantula ....

Poor JR's gouty hand is not improving much, in fact I would say it was spreading to all of his knuckles.
He will probably have to go and see the quack if it doesn't improve.

Hope your back pain eases Sues ... maybe bf can give you a jolly good massage ....

I'm looking after baby Isla tomorrow morning from 7.00am - so an early-ish night will be on the cards.
Daresay my back will be aching too after chasing that little rogue about and plucking her out of my cupboards, off stools, and away from the tv ....

LOL! Thanks, Trish, but bf isn't much of a masseuse. I often joke if I ever get set financially I'll hire a full time masseuse, (seriously, a good back massage is worth more to me than just about any amount of anything else, well, except for chocolate that is).

Have fun with baby Isla. I envy you your stamina and energy, still working on that one, though I daresay getting away from this heat should do wonders, it usually does, complete with allergy relief and all.

Those cock tail pix remind me of my neighbor; yes, one of my neighbors here in the city limits has a rooster, (either that or he gets up really early and makes funny cackling noises you can hear all the way down the street)...
