Oh wow, Wyo, that's awful about your friend! I think it's the worst when things like that just happen suddenly with no warning. My heart goes out to his poor kids, especially the 10 year old. I hope she has supportive and loving relations who will be there and take care of her.

Never been on an aircraft carrier, but I did get a private tour of a submarine when I interviewed at a naval base in CT some years ago, very cool, although I had to keep ducking not to hit my head on the ceiling and I'm not even tall, (only 5' 7"). Makes me wonder how a tall person would cope with that.

LOL! Funny thing, where I used to work (on an Army post) there were some Navy SEALS there as well (joint forces unit) and one of the guys was a sub guy, sooooooo hot and about 5' 5" (all muscle, built like Popeye). He told me most of the sub guys were built like him, so maybe it's not a big issue. Had a huge crush on him for over a year, but found out he didn't date women taller than him, so reluctantly let the flame die down. Not sure why so many folks have height issues, it's a non-issue for me, though admittedly I might be in the minority on this one.

Height is no issue for me either, my first wife was 5 foot tall, I am 6 foot. My second wife was 5 foot 2.
First one lasted 2 years, second lasted 25, I don't want a third one, I am a born again singleton

I've gone off wedding cake too.

LOL! You sound like bf, married and divorced twice and no plans for a third union. Thankfully we're on the same page with this, (after 4 failed live in relationships I'm not a big fan of the conventional approach meself), though I told him if Nathaniel Parker ever comes along, I might have to rethink things...

I try to keep my relationships on the friend side myself. After several encounters with the opposite sex I look back and see not too many of them are still alive and healthy. Make that none are healthy, perhaps the one that is in prison has good health. The ones that passed away had cancer and heart problems. Not my fault man, except it seems I'm a bit of a bad luck charm. All of them had moved on though so maybe it's not being with me that's not lucky.

Hoping to get to go to the movies to see Malificent next week. She is my favorite Disney Villaness. I think it's because she can change into a dragon.

I am on to season 4 of Dr. Who and enjoying every episode. Love David Tennant. His tennies (trainers) tickle my fancy. Going downtown shortly to show the store to a prospective buyer. Cross your fingers, toes, and eyeballs.
