Drinks in the kitchen, help yourselves..

Queen Victoria at Liverpool Sea Front.
You can see live images of her here, only a few hours to go before she departs.

She saw a massive firework display last night.

I got a big shock Thursday afternoon, my contractor and friend of 20 odd years dropped dead Wednesday. His big brother called me late Thursday to tell me. He was 53 years old. They don't know why yet, but heart attack and stroke are being bandied about. His wife died of acute alcoholism last year, I believe and he's been self medicating since. I was worried about him, but I am shocked. He left behind 2 daughters, one is over 18, but the other is around 10.
We got quite a bit of rain last night, still wet when I went out just a few minutes ago.

Wow, that's one big a** ship! I imagine it would be pretty cool to take a trip on a ship like that, (maybe when I win the lottery one of these centuries)...
When I lived in San Diego they had a visitors day aboard one of our aircraft carriers, so I went to have a look around - blew my mind. Those things are huge! From the pics it looks like the Victoria is just as big.
