Overcast here, due for rain. I need to get out and buy some weed killer this evening, (took a while to find the right one, non-toxic and pet safe), the lawn is scary looking, (mostly the tall weeds, not much grass to speak of), maybe that's why odd lizards find it so appealing.

Not tried it myself, but I hear that white vinegar makes a good allround weedkiller, but don't get it on any plants you want to keep.

Apply with a spray bottle, and wash the bottle well after use, as the vinegar will corrode any metal parts.

Advantage of white vinegar, it is very cheap as well as being pet safe.

Thanks for the tip, I tried white vinegar and also apple cider vinegar a few weeks ago, after reading about vinegar on a website by a landscaper in California, but nothing doing, (I think these stubborn southern weeds are made of iron, tried to pull some up today and tore up my hands pretty good). Tomorrow I test the stuff I got at Home Depot this afternoon; if it works, great, if not, I may just get one of the high school kids that keep asking about my lawn to mow it and be done with it, (yes, I'm lazy that way).

Ooooo! St. Sues.

On top of being invited to 2 graduation parties today, I had to go to the cemetery board meeting (director). Ah well, such is life. My school teacher friend met me with "one week and one snow day to go! She's retiring at the end of the school year. Everything pretty quiet here.
