Hi everyone, just breezed in to check that y'all are doing OK.
I had an opticians appointment today.
My eyesight has deteriorated significently since my last eye test two years ago.
I have cataracts now on both eyes - but not bad enough to warrant surgery yet.
Have to go back in one years time to get it checked out.
Had to fork out for new frames, lenses etc. and ole JR needs new contact lenses as his eyesight has deteriorated too.
Blerdy old age - cost's a fortune to grow old, I could have gone abroad for another holiday for what I have had to fork out today on specs and lenses..

Hey Sues - good old Winston having a bark! Reina seldoms barks, she leaves that to Kaiser - he is a brilliant guard dog and he barks at all passers by - he particularly cannot abide the postman and goes crazy when he hears him coming.
He also hates Jehovah Witness callers - he almost clears the gate - I think (know) that I have egged him on a bit ... I only have to whisper "Jehovah" and he goes nuts!
Reina cracks us up when the ice cream van comes around - she howls like hell - throws back her head and "sings" to the chimes of the music. She knows when the Ice cream van is around, so JR and I wait for her performance, and we cry with laughter!

Such lovely pics, such excellent news - and so proud for you and Christine that Tim McGraw signed Christine's portrait.
Also - loved the pic of you chiling out underneath the red umbrella. So cool!

Hey Wyo - hope that you managed the rent collection OK - have those darn winds died down a bit yet?
We have had a North Easterly today, which cooled things down considerably - although at 4pm it was 25C (77F) - considerably hotter earlier.
As per usual - UK cannot cope with high temps and reports of the tar melting on highways are coming in. Tut tut!

Right, signing out now folks, I have Tuna Salad awaiting me, and I'm starving.

Morning/afternoon Tony and everyone! Trish that Jehovah thing made me laugh, wish I could train Winston to do that with the nutters that come to my door, (not too many thankfully, mostly born agains, but anything to keep the nutter traffic to a minimum, myself excluded of course). Fingers, toes and eyes crossed you don't need the cataract surgery, but if you do it's not a bad thing; my great aunt had it at age 90 and complained later she wished she hadn't waited so long, as she could see better than she had in years, (she died last year at 102). My Mom had cataract surgery about four years ago and her eyesight is much improved as well.

Nice and sunny for now but rain later today, wish I could get Winston to go out in the rain but he flat out refuses, just plants his feet and looks at me like "I dare you to try and move me."
