Hi,
Thank you Kim for your very kind suggestion, really thoughtful of you and most appreciated.
I was going to suggest Meebo's Hospice Charity.
Hospices everywhere desperately need our support and the particular hospice Meebo supports is very dear to her heart.
Congratulations Meebo "paws" for thought now
I would also like to "whisper" The Boathouse Youth. This is a voluntary youth organisation based in a very poor area of Blackpool - South Shore. They have upwards of 350 young people regularly attending across most nights of the week. I understand that there has been a 40% reduction in juvenile nuisance since they began operations.
Boathouse Youth is currently very much in need of financial support & The Russell Haldane Trust (Reg Charity 1087582) I am sure would be delighted to pass on monies raised to Boathouse. (or I can)

I nominate Jacobs Well Care Centre in my home town.
They do quite a few things here and in Romania. In Gosport they have a furniture depot where they collect donations of furniture and kitchen appliances which they use to help out people on a low income and the recently homeless to furnish their homes to a reasonable standard.
They also sell furniture at their store in town as well as the usual stuff you would find in a charity store. They have a household removals and storage 'arm'.
Jacob's Well Care Centre was founded in 1992 by Stuart & Angela Pottinger, the Charity was originally set up to provide free furniture to those in need in Gosport, also to provide aid for the people in the Salaj district of Romania.
you can read more about their history HERE
I know the family who run the centre because their son (Danny) and my daughter (Annie) went to school together and shared a taxi
OK, it'll have to be the hat, so keep them coming till next weekend and then on sunday I'll write them all down and do a lucky dip. Can't be fairer than that
