Default Can I ask for immediate payment?

    Hi.

I may have just missed the obvious here (or someone else's post) but I need to know if I can make all of my listings immediate payment only (like you can do with Buy It Now listings over on FeeBay)?

All of my listings will be fixed price and will just run until sold. I've had about half a dozen non-paying bidders over on the Dark Side lately and don't want that happening here, when I start adding more listings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We do not have that facility here.

    Thanks, for the quick response!

It's a shame because I've been checking the Forums and non-paying bidders seem to be a recurring theme on eBid.

Might be something they should look into a bit. It wouldn't surprise me if that's why a lot of people still prefer to list on other sites.

    Oh, well. Such is life

It is not just this site with non paying buyers. It happens on most sites - I've had my fair share here. In fact, it looks like I'll be having an NPB on a different site I sell on. It's unavoidable. (

It's avoidable, if all of your listings are fixed price with instant payment required like eBay. If a buyer doesn't pay instantly, the item keeps running and someone else (a genuine buyer) can buy the item.

To be perfectly honest, I just can't really be bothered with having to go through the whole re-claiming fees, re-listing items and blocking (non) buyers nonsense that's required with NPBs.

Out of curiosity, is there somewhere I can throw the suggestion at the eBid staff?

Agree with Jan, you may want to suggest this to support: support@ebid.net

I also agree that NPBs are an unpleasant fact of life for online sellers regardless of where they sell; I've had some on other sites in the past, though none here yet, knock wood.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

If you add this request to the forum, please be sure to ask for it as a Seller's Option, not mandatory, and not the default on new listings.
