I just recd the latest ebid newsletter.

Boy there is a lot of information in it.

Gazza has laid out many of their plans - it will make great reading for you.

I recall Gazza saying a while back that they are sent out in newest member to oldest member order - something to do with out of date email addresses slowing things down. So, the longer you have been here the later you get it.

You joined before me - and I ain't got mine yet.

    Thanks Mel,

    That would explain the delay.

Mine arrived, looks like a lot of good stuff is coming in 2012, including the Best Offer option and eBid apps, whatever those are. (Sticks head back in the sand before it's whacked off).

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I'd like to take this opportunity to send all eBidders around the world our best wishes for 2012, and tell you all how much we're looking forward to sharing another great year with you.
As always we've been exceptionally busy over the Festive Season putting together a bumper crop of updates and improvements mainly to do with the after sales process :
    • UPDATE - Stalled bulk uploads now will be restarted automatically
    • UPDATE - Checkout form(s) now shown directly on BuyNow confirmation page
    • UPDATE - Email confirmation sent to buyer and seller when item is "Marked as Paid" automatically by payment provider (PPPay/PayPal/Google Checkout)
    • UPDATE - Added "Edit quantity" option to seller's After Auction Log if buyer has purchased more than one of an item
    • UPDATE - Added "Cancel this sale" option to seller's After Auction Log if buyer has purchased more than one of an item
    • UPDATE - Added "Mark whole invoice as shipped" option to AAL menu where relevant
    • UPDATE - Allowed items on invoices to be marked as payment sent/received and marked as shipped individually as well as the whole invoice
    • UPDATE - Allow seller to finalise invoice at all times not just when multiple shipping options are available.
    • UPDATE - Added Facebook Like button to listing start confirmation page
    • UPDATE - Private auctions can now be used for any category (previously was Adult only) for SELLER+ eBidders or SELLER with Platinum featured
    • UPDATE - Renamed My eBid Summary to My eBid Dashboard
    • UPDATE - Added "View sellers other items" to AAL dropdown of buyer
    • UPDATE - Added "Refund Selling (Final Value) Fee" option to AAL after 30 days
    • UPDATE - Reclaimed 38px from header to show more info without scrolling on every page
We've finally finished work on v1 of the eBid API and have now started work on our mobile app that is currently being built using our API. The app is being developed for iPhone/iPad, Android and Blackberry. The app and API will both be launched at the same time.
We'd also like to say Hi to a new member of the team who's going to help us stride into the new year with our best foot forward. Josh is joining us to manage all our PPC (that's pay-per-click; things like Google ads) advertising. Welcome aboard, Josh.

    Happy New Year
Here we go again, then! Another new year ahead of us, another great year for eBid behind us. We look forward to another super twelve months spent in your company. What do we have to look forward to? More sellers, more buyers, more listings without doubt. Thanks to you eBid has continued to grow and develop year on year, and we expect more of the same in the months to come.
We already have further improvements and enhancements to the site in the pipeline and our continuous flow of updates and fixes is going to carry on seamlessly through 2012.
With regards to that, we really appreciate the brilliant ideas and suggestions you make all the time via the Website Suggestions forum. Some are instantly appealing, some need a little thinking about, and some are just plain wacky (they're the ones we enjoy reading most, but don't expect to see them implemented any time soon!) So keep them coming and know we appreciate every idea; we'll put as many of the goodies into the system as we can fit.
