Default eBid Mentioned in Today's EcommerceBytes Newsletter!

While reading this morning's issue of EcommerceBytes I found a little tidbit mentioning eBid..seems our site and only one other are doing more than other sites to make sure our listings are going to Google Shopping...thanks, Gazza and team!

Have you ever had your funds frozen by PayPal? If not, consider yourself lucky. It's one of the biggest problems eBay, Etsy and other online sellers report - having cash tied up for 3 weeks (or longer) causes serious cash flow issues for small businesses.

In Friday's newsletter, Kenneth Corbin explains that sellers may be able to do something about PayPal holds - don't miss this article, "PayPal Holding Your Funds? State Regulators Want to Know."

Another recent story published in Ecommerce Bytes also show that sellers have more control than they sometimes realize. Last week we discovered that eBay and Etsy were not doing as much as some smaller marketplaces such as eCrater and eBid to make sure listings appear in Google Shopping search results. But sellers can do something about this problem.

First, enter your product listing titles into Google Shopping's search engine and make sure your items are included in search results - if not, you can clean up your listings yourself, as I explain in this EcommerceBytes Blog post. If you're not seeing a lot of traffic from Google, it could be because you're not optimizing your listings!

Just FYI, and have a happy day today!

Sue, did you notice when you click on the link in that article that it goes into great depth the fact that Google Shopping does

not allow the words FREE SHIPPING in titles...they automatically REJECT them!

I hope our sellers will take a close look at that...lots of sellers on here are using the phrase Free Shipping....yikes!

i agree please dont use that free shipping bit. we all know nothing is free. you are going to pay its up to you on how much. and with the great offer from ebid you cant go wrong. im able to reduce my price and able to offer cheaper shipping to all my customers. ebid is much more than a lot of people even know. not only a great site to sell my stuff but a whole lot of help in doing so.

Saw that bit, but not a problem here as I can't afford to eat postage, aside from the fact that I'm not big on roughage.

    Hope others see it though.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

    Yes well spotted @iwiw60

Everyone knows their is no such thing as free shipping.

And usually when the "big box" retailers offer it, it is for a minimum order !

So we should not get carried away with it.

I have no intention of getting carried away with a "big box" retailer.
    a) I'm only 5'2"
    b) I want to be cremated so a small box will do me fine!
