Cool Why did you become a collector?

    Hi again
I did start a thread way way back that read what wouldn't you sell and didn't offer my answer.
Well it is my grandfather's old razor..Not a cut throat but one with the wind in blade. Still have one new blade with it that will probably cut my face to bits when I do decide now is the time.

Everything else is for sale now! well except for the cards I started collecting with my Grandaughter,

Oh and the thing that really started me off collecting way back in the 60's was a certain set of cards "Civil War News" that I want back.

    Regards Phil

I have rather a lot of teddy bears. I have one that is almost as old as I am and that I would not part with. A lot of the others I have made myself and a few are 'rescue' bears and then there are those I just couldn't resist....

I enjoy collecting coins. They carry so much history, are easy to handle. I find myself a bit disturbed when I have to part with certain coins due to sales. I just pack them quickly and send them on their way. I like how they ship efficiently.

I think collectors can see the uniqueness and beauty in each item they collect and can appreciate its history and social value.

I bet there is different type of dust and you will now need to add to your dust collection

    LOL!

I collect dust, too, and cat hair, lots of it.

Started collecting jools many years ago as I love vintage pretties and it's fairly easy to find them at estate sales and flea markets. Parting with them is a much harder task.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Because I got bored! Needed something to occupy my precious time! lmao! Besides I have ton of pokemons , and some beanie babies, and a lot of NEW junks, I need to let go!

! have friends that are collectors too, and its fun sharing advice--and making conversation! Thats whats important!

Started collecting rocks with my father (who had an interest in them) when I was about 9 or 10.
It just continued & grew from there. Also stamps about the same age.

Later, when the Beatles came along, records and an interest in music were added.
That has grown also, into collecting stringed instruments (mainly Dobro's & lap steel guitars) for the past 10 years or so. They in turn collect the dust themselves pinky.

I have joined the Collectors group & hope it grows into a place where we can all share our collective knowledge within our respective areas of expertise - plus general chit-chat.

I'm happy to try & answer any questions about rocks/gems/jewellery & Dobro's etc. if I can over there.
Hope to see you soon & cheers. Allen.
