Smile Has the Hot Sellers Algorithm Changed?

Not sure its a glitch, intentional or all is working OK.

Historically, half the Hot Sellers list tends, not surprisingly, be dominated by the same people. In the last few days only one or two of the normal Hot Sellers are listed. We now have people with just a few listings. Maybe the algorithm has changed to give exposure on this list to a wider range of sellers which would be fine.

And that’s mean: 1 item sold more of $20.00 and you’re hot seller….trust me on that….I don’t spending time in here ‘’drinking’’ around…...and by the way ‘’HerMajesty’’ she is right a 100%...’’sold all their stock’’…...

That's odd, how in heck do you get to be hot with one or two sales?

Not hot here, but warm in general, though it's not from sales.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Sorry, that is not so Dzambo. In the last few days I have sold around 40 items with the highest value item being £45. And I am not showing in the Hot Sellers!!

Well done! Hope you make the hot list, but even if you don't, you're doing superbly.

Maybe support would let you know the secret, if you ask nicely. After all, it is almost Xmas.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Thanks Sue, quite often I have been on the list and I am not over worried but it is a bit more publicity for my items. I think there might be a fault with it or else they have changed the algorithm to give a wider range of sellers visibility. I suspect it is actually a glitch.

Well…it is true….o yeaaaa….like I write before but only things is not guarantee all the time you will show up but still you can show up time to time…trust me on that…and like I write before on other thread I don’t know why eBid don’t show up the sellers with higher sales I mean some sellers can show up but many don’t and by the way you can check for yourself what particular seller sold after he receive feedback and you can see easy how much he or she sold only if you interested to ‘’track down’’ hot seller list I mean date of show up on the seller hot list and after he receive feedback…if you not interested that’s ok but again ‘’trust me on that’’ even seller can show up if only sell couple $ worth of total items…AMEN……...

I noticed a difference in the list too. All new sellers and some only having joined a week ago. I have been working myself to death getting items packaged, and shipped for two weeks and many of these items were $20 + items and no more Hot Sellers list. Another that has held the top slot for months isn't even there at all...looks like the ones that were on there frequently are now getting pushed to the back, so I gather you can't take that list seriously anymore.
