I cant remember either . The set was collected by my kids in the 80s. Cousin Wesley is very special... and guess what... I can't remeber why . However, I do remember we could only get one of these ...

Cousin Wesley was made in 1998 . Very few were made as you had to purchase a £1000 savings Bond or words to that affect. ( purchased by my ex mother - in law ). Quite an interesting story re these pigs online

I can add a little inside information to this, as I worked for the Advertising Agency who handled the Wade Pigs when they were produced. I seem to remember, that some of the early pigs, possibly "Woody" (the one with the "nappy" and pin)were not particularly satisfactory, when they were made, so slightly later "Woodys" have a better quality finish. The larger pigs are worth more money, as less were given out. To get each pig, children had to save a certain amount of money, within a given period. Not everyone managed to save enough to get the full set. "Sir Nathanial" (The large male pig and his wife (Lady Annabelle ?) are the hardest to find and are worth more.

By the way, the 1998 date is way out, all these pigs were issued before 1991. I know this for certain, as I changed jobs at the end of 1991. I would say 1984-85 is when the first ones were issued.

What interesting piggy facts. "Piggy" was my beloved mom's nick name.
