The point is Ntings that a lot of us have worked hard to get our stores an exemption so it shouldn't just vanish without sellers being told and being given a reason as to why !
It was only by chance that I spotted it as I don't often go into my store area unless I want to change or add categories. It might have been months or even years before it was discovered that the items were not being fed to Google Products.

That's where it is confusing. It is stated that if you do not have an exempted store, or an exempted store has a mix of barcoded and non-barcoded items, then none of the items in that store will be fed to, or (if they are fed ) accepted , by Goggle Products - yet your books are on Google Products.
Someone is feeding out misinformation.
I begin to wonder if some other outside source is being brought to bare on this situation. I cant imagine that Google would be so stupid as to damage its own business model. Have we all become so dependant on one large internet organisation that it can cripple businesses in such a way. I still believe that the only way through this situation is to raise the profile of eBid so that potential buyers bypass Google and go straight to eBid, a tall order I know but its that or continue to be controlled by other powers beyond our control.

Been away for a while - where does it show if you have an exemption?
I applied twice for exemption for my candle store - first time - nothing heard.
I tried again and was sent this message on 5th November.
Upon checking the shop reference number, it hasn't changed - GSID : 5877409 ...no exemption ????Hello,
Thank you for requesting an exemption for unique product identifiers.
We're sending this email to inform you that your exemption has been
approved. Your items will not be affected by this requirement. However,
items may continue to be flagged in the data quality tab even after your
account is exempted from the unique product identifier requirement.
Additionally, please continue including valid unique product identifiers
in your data feed for all items which have them.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Yours sincerely,
Lavanya

It looks as though you gave your own email address to Google - rather than google.exemption@ebid.net
If so, eBid will not have been notified of the exemption.
The correct way to apply is given at: http://uk.ebid.net/help_selling.php#48
You could try contacting admin with your exemption details - they may still be able to process it. If not you will have to apply again.
