What type of arts / crafts do you enjoy creating?

Recent projects have been making scrapbooks to record some family history items and making some personalized cards.

I would like to do some drawing this winter if I have the time to do so. I'm a dabbler ... but my inner child seems to enjoy having a go at the process of creating this and that.

What do you enjoy for a hobby or a more serious pursuit?

i make cards and soap most days. Sometimes for a change i do scrapbooking, make candles or body butter. Rarely i make pot pourri and bath salts and for my hobby if i have time i do housework

I love going to flea markets and looking at crafts (especially handcrafted jools) and sometimes buying, if I have any extra $, does that count?

I like to do watercolor painting and write poetry sometimes when the mood strikes.

I think I have a strong inner child.

I play creatively most with food. Some readers will be aware of my alcoholic creations, or my passion for experiment with bread.

My lasting creations are gardens. I have transformed an inner city wilderness into an orchard with dozens of kinds of fruit tree.

I have written two plays, which were both performed in Stratford (E15, not Avon), and a novel which is funny and tedious in equal measure.

More likely to do art onscreen than on canvas.

I love to find a beautiful piece of Vintage material, doesn't matter what it is as long as the design on it appeals, then I embroider various parts and maybe put some beading on as well. I do 'dabble' with watercolour mainly because I think watercolour is a challenge. I'm still at the 'happy accident' stage with that though. I have a friend who only took it up last year and she is already receiving requests for commissions. Ain't that wonderful, she's thrilled? Trouble is, I am absolutely no good at all with perspective so the happy accidents suffice for me.

I've tried many things over the years, from candle-making, chalk carving, cakes, cards, but the most fun I've had for a long time was visiting my sister when she had her grandchildren round and we all did painting. Just to mess around with the simplist of methods with kiddies is brilliant!

I write fiction and, occasionally, poetry.
Currently I am into game design and creation. So far I have invented and created prototypes for five board games with another half dozen still in the design phase. I am trying to get a publishing company to take one or more of them. Each game requires a lot of work designing the components, working on the graphics and, something I have found to be a lot harder than you might think, writing the rules in as an idiot proof manner as possible. I also make my own boxes and inserts for each game - which again sounds much easier than it is.
I try not to buy greetings cards and usually make my own.
I used to write text based computer games but the days of the lone computer game writer are now long gone; it's almost like making a full budget movie these days.

I love any kind of needlework - knitting, crochet, sewing clothes but especially toys, I dabble in quilting, and love making bobbin lace. Making cards is also great fun. I have had a go at tatting, and still want to do macramee. Embroidery / cross stitch also keeps on appearing. Latch hook rug making - which reminds me that I have an unfinished piece that I need to dig out. I might not have covered it all, but you get the picture
