I have just come over from that other site. There are a lot of scrap prescious metals being sold and bought over there. Generally at higher prices than the "I Buy Gold" buyers pay. I have bought a lot over there and don't see many offerings like that here on ebid( I have found a few). I would love to buy here on ebid and will keep looking. Remember that there has to be "a little meat on the bone" as the TV Pickers say, so you can't expect to get full spot metals prices. Also, learn to calulate the actual precious metal content in sterling(.925), 10k(.417), 12K(.500), 14k(.585), 18K(.750. Gold fill is much less and is generally expressed as a ratio by weight of of the items total weight being a stated karot gold--example 1/20 10k means 1/20 of items total weight is 10 karot gold. If the item is worn, the filled gold wears and is less than when new.
