I've had problems with negative feedbacks from a non payer and neutrals form a guy I refunded in full when his parcel never turned up .It seems as though there is a complicated procedure to try and get feedback removed.
Ebay are giving so called private sellers a free listing opportunity once a fortnight now.Maybe thats why things are so stagnant on here.

Looks like this thread has turned into a complaints thread instead of a praise thread.......well, a tip 'o the crown to da boyz for all they have done and do to help make our buying and selling experience on eBid so personalized! I've never been on a site where the powers that be actually answer emails or come on to forums to give updates, info and start threads to promote community within the site. KUDOS and GONGS

    Hi there.

Just wanted to say that I'm another eBay to eBid convert.
I decided to jump ship after reading a eBay announcement saying they are putting their fees up to 10% in May 2012.
Well that was the final straw for me... I'm not a huge seller but I'll no longer sell on eBay just to give them a large cut.

As for the question of this post 'eBid should be more popular'.

I think eBid is going to get VERY popular as people start realising there is a viable alternative to eBay that is offering a far better deal.
It's just a case of getting the word out there... google, ebay, twitter, facebook are house hold names, eBid is nowhere near that status.

Who am I to say that?
I'm the average Joe on the street and none of my friends have ever mentioned eBid to me.

So it's my opinion that lots more work is required by eBid on the advertising side of things.
I would be seriously looking at prime time TV and radio ads spots.
For example here in the UK I keep seeing these madbid.com ads come on around about the time the evening news is on.
Now am I a madbid.com registered user... no because I don't really like the way it works, it's not for me.
But do I know who they are and did I check them out... you bet!

Since you have no intention of using them, that doesn't actually say anything except they threw away hundreds of thousands of pounds on tempting in a non-user.

I'm only one person, but yeah that's my point.
I don't use them but I do know who they are and what they do.

How many like myself saw the same ad checked it out, signed up and do use them regularly?

Ebid has a strong platform to build upon from what I can see, so it's worthy of consideration.
I could invision many disgruntled ebay sellers checking ebid out (you only need to show them the way).

Anybody can say anything but without big advertising is just very hard to go trough on USA consumers market, and without raising fees for everything and collect the money for that in this day’s will be very hard too because big advertising cost way too much and even eBay can’t do that without raising or charge the fees for everything long time ago. Well…as I can see many members who visit eBid forums like eBid how it is right now and even without much changes how auction site operates right now…so be it…...I will keep listing day to day…...and I will make sales doesn't matter what......(because my shipping prices for overseas buyer's not many overseas seller's can beat...)

If eBid spent thousands on advertising how do you think they would recoup their outlay, the same as the site you mention, by putting up their fees. I like the way it is, I have followed all the hints and tips that I have read in these forums and they make sense and work.

Yes, you have to work hard at it yourself and market yourself as you would if you had your own website, visitors don’t come to you, until they have heard about you, via advertising. eBid is your platform.

That's not true... I switched back to a private seller by sending eBay support an email requesting that I do that
