Wow, what a tough question! So many books, so many faves. Deep breath, OK, here goes:

At the present moment (could change tomorrow or even later today) my 3 faves are:

The Wives of King Henry VIII by Antonia Fraser
The Pleasures of the Damned by Charles Bukowski (my all time favorite poet)
The World Crisis by Winston S. Churchill

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Have just started selling here. I am an avid collector of Vintage magazines and books. Any advise as to how to stir up some bids. Used to sell on Ebay, but gave up... Favorite Quote: (By Me) "Forgiveness is the scent a rose leaves on the boot that crushes it" Best regards, Bert

Mein Urgroßvater und ich by James Krüss
Tipsys sonderbare Liebesgeschichte - can't remember off hand who wrote it
    Winnetou by Karl May

These are all books from my youth. I have tried to think of something outstanding since reading English, but there isn't anything

I read new books all the time, so in theory it could change daily... but I've chosen three I've read many times over the years, making them consistent friends. I've read many more worthy or literary, "cleverer" books - but for pure affection and a pleasant relaxing read:

    Busman's Honeymoon, Dorothy L Sayers
    Skinny Dip, Carl Hiaasen
    Going Postal, Terry Pratchett.

My favorite book right now is Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I have read all of her Dark Hunter books, and by the time she published Acheron, I was ready for it. I couldn't believe my hero had gone thru some many negative changes in his life.

There are no fiction books in my top 20.
I like to learn about things and my favourite is whatever I am reading at the moment, and then it will be the next.
So Frogs, Princesses and Ugly Sisters

There are quite a few books I could list but these are three memorable ones, in no particular order:

    - To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee
    - The Godfather - Mario Puzo
    - Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte

I think To Kill a Mockingbird is one of the finest books ever written, but I couldn't call it a favourite. It's not what I'd reach for if I felt poorly, or needed cheering up or de-stressing.
