Hello Everyone,

I'm a Newbie too - just joined a couple of days ago. Actually read a lot of negative reviews before I got here, although not sure whether they are from the competitors and how much of it's true.

There are a lot of people here but I don't understand why there is not more advertising - letting people know about eBid - there seems to be lots of sellers and very few buyers - and that is what makes it get started - BUYERS, BUYERS - where are you?

The bosses here need to come up with something otherwise it's all going to shut down with the sellers leaving...

Check out the helpful FAQs and videos by clicking the help button at the top of any page, then look in the L column. There are several helpful threads for newbies here, by Astral and bykimbo and others....check them out. As questions in the Kitchen Table if you can't find the answer somewhere!! We're a friendly group here.

Ebid , is very good for me. I would love more sales , but , I really don't work hard enough to get them. The fact is ... it is stress free and the fees are excellent

Hi Lavenderpetals, welcome to ebid, I do understand what you are saying, this topic has come up in the forums many times with many suggestions made to increase sales. one thing that has been done in the last few months is to introduce ebid to new countries. we personally have noticed increased trade from non uk countries plus a lot of enquiries about postage etc. in the past couple of weeks. I know it is not exactly what sellers want, but do they want higher fees or work at building up a good returning customer base? i,m sure the boys at ebid towers have given a lot of thought about advertising and looked at the cost. we are happy with the low fees and steady sales. we realise this may not suit everyone but we like it here. this is just our opinion, i,m sure others will have a different one

I am with you HobbyHabitat - it's slower (though elsewhere you can no longer be sure of making a sale), but it is so much cheaper that for me I feel it's worth the wait. I have had items listed that were her for a couple of years and it crossed my mind to remove them and suddenly someone bought it. So patience is needed
