Thank you all very much for your suggestions, every one of which would be a worthy nomination. However, I've decided to go with Madelaine's Porridge Club. The reasons for this are a) it's a clearly deserving case b) it is to benefit neither US or UK so no bias appears, and finally and most significantly Madelaine's "bang per buck" struck a chord.
